I think its to avoid spoilers since the anime and manga are connected projects. Wasabi and Namida haven't even had a proper introduction yet so it'd be weird to see them talking to Boruto and friends like everyone knew them.

Also Denki originated in WSJ and Iwabe was used in a promo image there so I have my hopes up for them to appear later.

i like his fight scenes, they're dynamic enough. but i don't like a lot of his original designs. there's nothing inherently wrong with them but it doesn't feel in the same spirit or style as naruto. even DBS got that right with getting a fanfic writing fanboy who could emulate the style well on board. like even the boruto show decided fuck this ikemoto guy, we're gonna stick with the old style because that's what people actually want to see
