Tsukasa: Knowing your skills, there is something I need to ask you. To ease my mind, I need you to figure out if a man named Senkuu is still alive. Someone who I've killed with my own hands.

Back in the present: At chrome's warehouse senkuu discusses the situation.
Suika: So that Tsukasa guy is a bad one and Gen is his nakama? Then he's a bad one too! But Gen did protect everyone from Magma...
Senkuu: Good or bad, he's nothing but a superficial, opportunistic dude. Gen is good or bad, whatever, he only needs to spread the misinformation that I, Senkuu, passed away. That's what needs to happen if we want to win this.
Chrome: Did you hear that Gen!
Gen seems to be next the warehouse.
Chrome: Didn't you see the electricity ? Science's light? It's so interesting! Our Kingdom of science is the best!
Gen: You're such a passionate young man. But regretfully I'm not on the same page as you chrome. In front of a man of science (Senkuu) I can only see what I can gain out of this.
Gen leaves the warehouse and heads to the generator. While he's pondering, someone attacks him from behind. Countless punches tear him apart and in the end a stone spear penetrates his body. Gen collapses and stops moving. He lies in a pool of his own blood. After seeing Gen's death, the man disappears.

Senkuu: If Gen isn't interested in science in the first place, there would be no point in a collabo. When he saw the electricity, he already choose a side.

Before Gen escaped from the warehouse, he spoke to Senkuu.
Gen: Can you make it in this stone world, senkuu? I mean coke... one bottle...
Senkuu: Oh yeah, I can!
Gen smiles.

Gen: Senkuu is dead, there's no doubt about it.

Senkuu laughs like a villian again: The world's tinniest alliance is bounded by a bottle of coke. Let's use science to get to it.

I mean, Neverland and Stone pretended to have killed their protagonists and in the following chapter they invented an excuse to resuscitate them. This is awful, but people loved it. Clover solves problems with the power of friendship. This is awful, but the people loved it. Robot IS awful, but people love it. I don't think two chapters with a quieter flashback, based in the story of one of the readers' favorite characters, would be the real cause for such low positions.
