Not really hacks but for the most part BL isn't the type of story that can go on for a long time. It just becomes repetitive or filled with drama. Also most authors aren't popular enough to be allowed to do a certain work for longer than that. Most groups are actively avoiding Canna, onBlue, and Opera for some quite time now though so not that it matters that much if it does get shared or now.
