Ougi shows up in Koyomi Reverse, the final part of the "main" season (though it's more like an afterstory/epilogue really).

Boy-Ougi shows up again in Suruga Bonehead and normal Ougi briefly cameos in Nadeko Draw, and I believe she also appears again in Nozomi Golem. All these stories are Off-Season arcs, Shaft probably won't get to them any time soon. Ougi's also getting her own book just called Ougimonogatari as part of the new season of LNs Nisio announced recently.

As per with Nadeko they only end up meeting when she starts running away from everything just like he keeps doing, running away from everything is literally his entire character. Kanbaru herself has detached herself from the shadow of Tooe's heritage and lives/controls her own life too. Kaiki's had all series (and before it) to meet Kanbaru and no one stopped him. His character very literally is that he runs away from everything, this is one of those things. He only meets Kanbaru at all as a result running away from everything just like he did. He didn't plan it all out, he wanted to help but like everything else he kept running away from it all until Hana. Kanbaru only even ultimately meets Rouka again because of Ougi, who does the same thing to Kanbaru that happened to Araragi regarding Sodachi. Not because it was all Kaiki's plan, more like it was Kaiki's desire that he managed to fulfill in the end thanks to other factors filling in the blanks he couldn't/wouldn't.

If you believe that she Kanbaru just did what Kaiki ordered her to do then that trashes pretty much everything she said and her entire proposed arc in that story down the drain. Despite her outright saying that she was getting further confused after each instance of people telling her how to think, and her literally saying that she'll disregard all of it to just do what she wants. And like I said, she doesn't feel as if she owes Kaiki anything, or atleast says nothing of the sort either in Suruga Devil or Suruga Bonehead.

Kaiki has nothing to provide for her to be fair. Kanbaru's already rich, she already has aunt Gaen looking out for her oddity-wise, and by Musubi she's already living a happy life and doing what she wants.

Knockoff Japanese Snape needs to get over himself already, the dumb teenagers in this series handled genuine trauma and abuse better than he does a woman not returning his one-sided feelings. The more the series fleshed out the other Specialists the more I realised how garbage he is and how the other Specialists deserve way more attention than he does, even autistic dead dad who plays with dolls ended up being a more interesting character with only a fraction of the focus. The only guy Kaiki was actually "better" than at any point was Araragi when he was at his absolute low point within the narrative (the part of the story where all of his mistakes were coming back to bite him and he was failing to tackle why it was happening) and even then Araragi being a sack of shit had more justification to it than just being an eternally sad cuck.

Granted I do think most of that just comes with the territory of sticking an adult character in a mostly teenage cast, it's pretty hard to not make them come off as extremely pathetic if they're in any sort of rival or antagonistic position.

Ok, hnestly the reason why this series is so good is because:
