Not to sound like a pedo or anything, but Rinne was so much sexier as a loli.
She gives Fate a run for her money with how gay she is.
Nobody is getting even close to NanoFate's level in the foreseeable future, but Fuuka and Rinne are probably the best candidates at this moment.
Nanoha just shot Fate with a magic beam. Fuuka fisted Rinne into submission.
You're both wrong. Rinne is sexy at every age.
She's a teen at that point
I wish Rinne was the official main character of Vivid Strike. She's the main reason I even got through the whole thing.
She is though. She's the focus of the entire season and gets more lines than Fuuka. Fuuka is the better MC though.
>Fuuka is the better MC though.
Not to me she isn't, but I tend to disagree with people about most things.
Rinne is mentally unstable and is probably stupider than Fuuka. She wouldn't be a good MC.
Fuuka is more fuggable desu.
That may be true, doesn't mean you can think about doing lewd things to my wife.
But that's what makes her interesting. As for the latter, I've seen far worse. I prefer MCs with inner conflicts, as I feel it adds depth, which is important in the long run.
In Vivid Strike, Rinne (and arguably Miura) was the only character that had any real inner struggles.
Nanoha threads will never recover from this edgy normalfag invasion, will they.
Fuuka suffers as well. She was never adopted and forced to go out and work instead of going to school.
>muh trash edgy selfinserts are better than actual characters!
When will Nanoha threads return to normal?
Of course not. The only good MC we had stopped being an MC over a decade ago to pander edgy school children.
inb4 VS newfags disagreeing
>BEING EDGY MAKES HER DEEP
>LOOK AT HOW EDG-- DEEP SHE IS SHE IS SUCH A DEEP CHARACTER
Remember all those people that liked edgyshit that populated Nanoha threads before Vivid Strike rolled around? Because I don't.
Truly the peak of discussion in Nanoha threads*.
*only after Vivid Strike
True, but I find Rinne more interesting. I feel like she is the better written character. She's one of the few Vivid characters that has a concrete raison d'etre that could hold up outside of tournament arcs. In contrast, Fuuka only fights to keep a roof over her head and everything else she just does on a whim.
Yeah, she's super well-written. Did you see how edgy and self-insert she was? That's the mark of a GREAT character, right? So deep! LITERALLY saved Nanoha by introducing it to middleschoolers!
Her goal is not the same as Rinne. Their reasons for fighting are entirely different. I'm of the opinion that Fuuka was in no position to "save" anyone from supposed "self-destruction," when she was hardly developed enough to know what she truly wants. Hell, Einhart had to remind Fuuka what her own goals were halfway into the season, as if she completely forgot. She got much less screen time than Rinne for a reason.
Fuuka's motivation was supposed to be grand - get back friend
wife, save her from self destruction.
It might have been a bit lost in the not so well-written screenplay, but in the underlying sujet, that was the intention - grand struggle for the most important thing, akin to when Nanoha wanted to save Feito. Albeit in more modest scale and with more modest means/magics.
Er wait, I meant fabula, not sujet. Basically the overall story idea as opposed to how it ended up being implemented/directed.
I wonder how long-lived will Fuuka and Rinne be as characters. It will soon be a year, not sure they have shown enough energy/impact to stick much, so far. Based on japanese fanart, doujins, memes.
They sort of did in the BD extras which seemed to be mostly focused on Fuuka, but I was still disappointed that we never got any more backstory. All we really know is that she's an orphan who used to be friends with Rinne. Maybe they're saving her past to come back to haunt her in S2.
Things Miura is useful for:
>helping you work out
>getting groped while wearing only an apron
>having a good body to fuck
>holding hands in public with
She's just waiting for the right girl to make her a wife.
She is not, she just withdrew her tickets to beat main characters early on in the series. The permit to make people job will take time to recharge.
>Einhart and Miura both wear jobber-extraordinaire dress. What does this mean?
Einhart got the short stick out of the two, though.
Although now that I think about it, I think they gave the Signum bodice to Einhart (adult henshin) for obvious reasons, in the sound stage - IIRC. Maybe Miura received Vita's jacket then. Maybe that's when her luck ran out.
So, what's going to happen to Vivid now that they are removing the main plot point of Einhart's memories of Claus?
Yeah, without that you couldn't undress like that, looking at each other like that, in one bedroom & bed. Like, everyone would get a completely wrong idea.
That really goes to show how good friends they are.
>vivio really looks up to her nanomama that hairstyle choice
Yeah, her adult hairstyle has its origin in the StrikerS manga.
That scene was likely meant to portray more of the romantic side of their relationship than their friendship.
And I'd say this one was more about family. Friendship and family are the strongest subjects in the complete franchise with the exception of Force.
>That scene was likely meant to portray more of the romantic side of their relationship than their friendship.
Well irony aside, I always though that this is how would Nanoha wake up after doing it with Fate the day before and Fate might also be sleeping like that - everything like normal couple morning, up until she is reminded of the little one in between.
Basically you see the step between lovers/sexual partners and mom and dad of a family in a giant shortcut.
A wild Rinnemon has appeared
Oh god, Miura is driven to tears by your concern.
That was one of the neater moments of VS. Because usually the girls had that hipper/stoned permanent 'yay everything is so much fun' Barbie-world behaviour, and this was one of the rarer moments with more believable (and thus likeable) emotions shown. It needed more of that.
Am I the only one who started to like Miura more after she lost?
I think I had concerns that she might be stealing Vivio's place but after she lost there, it kind of wend away. Not that I started to consider her weak, but more like I stopped being afraid of her becoming a Mary Sue intruder
(or did those concerns stop because Yumina stole that part?)
That's a given. Loli Rinne is especially made for sex and rape.
But they have frequent times of not being together or being busy and in stressfull situations.
So that should recharge them. Besides they are both hot and awesome.
>So that should recharge them. Besides they are both hot and awesome.
Can't argue with that.
Interesting how massive her twintails were in the henshin.
He has cameos in two more eps!
They were always ridiculously thick. The movies slimmed them down slightly, and noticeably so in Reflection.
It's one of the reasons why Fate cosplay never looks right, even wigs can't get that thick.
>The movies slimmed them down slightly, and noticeably so in Reflection.
You never know what will grow up from baby fat.
Vivio is ero.
Helo friends is this anime worth watching? What am I in for?
Watch original Nanoha S1, S2 and StrikerS first.
Repeat offender, really.
Vivio is a cute brat, Hayate is a fine woman.
>Why is Signum going to the beach dressed like a prostitute?
No, she's just the strongest and cutest.
Doujins turn people into monsters.
>look at how she dresses.
Like a prince (female)?
Every 2D girl is sexier as a loli.
She does in Innocent. And in the movie tribute comics.
I had such a fucking huge boner during that episode in season 2. The Dog Days girls might as well have been men the rest of the time, but an episode where they all return to lolihood? Sign me the fuck up!
>it's surprisingly easy to move in
No idea, I believe the idea is idiotic since having these characters as a link to ancient Belkans as a great idea. But Vivid ended up as nothing but endless retarded tournaments.
If she really does lose her memories for good it'll be a sad case of wasted potential.
I don't know why but I keep seeing them draw Nanoha girls plus watermelon.
Nanoha was much better when it was for people who like lolis, instead of old hag loving shounen fight fags.
The franchise is dead, and the latest movie is shit and once again shows how much the staff don't care about lolis or their fans.
My husband Fate is so cute.
It's meant to be a watermelon.
My dick is conflicted by Rinne.
I don't know if I want Rinne as a daughter or as a waifu because how cute and pure she is as a child and how sexy and passionate looks as an adult.
It's always a good time for Rinne.
Don't make fun of genetic disabilities. That's pretty much the lowest form of bullying imaginable.
So is Vivid really ending this time? Every other time people have said that, they start up a new story arc.
I don't care how it ends. I just want them to announce what they're doing next.
This arc should have three more chapters to complete the volume that they're in the middle of. So we probably won't get any announcements for several more months, assuming that they don't just keep going.
StrikerS sold more than S1 and A's combined so apparently not. You're probably assuming otherwise because you're used to lolis being /a/'s preference when we're actually an atypical portion of the audience.
Neko and Tachi are an integral part of yuri.
There's nothing to discuss, the roles are clear and well defined. Corona agrees.
Remember when this happened and the crowd went wild? Good times.
I would enjoy another timeskip, but Vivio is sexy at both ages.
Yeah, but she will be the sexiest when she's an adult.
She'll probably be 2 of those 3 things.
It feels pointless to go through that long process when Strike already spoiled the end of it. It's hard to imagine them doing another arc just for that unsatisfying conclusion.
It'd at least be a good opportunity to start the season off in a clever way. Like showing her and Einhart sparring in adult mode only to reveal that it's not adult mode anymore and they're not just sparring but actually fighting.
Why do you think any of the girls in this series has an actual personality with inconvenient traits?
There only has to be a big bad guy or girl to make a character act rebellious or else everybody will get along perfectly and happily.
Vivid Life heavily practically confirms that NanoFate have a sex life, though, what with Fate being jealous when she thought Nanoha made moves on Einhart while Fate and Vivio were both out of the house.
I don't know what that is, but Rinne is definitely a bottom.
Let's all take a moment to thank Olivie that we weren't born lunatics who are incapable of controlling our own actions.
It must be pure hell to get stuck wasting your life obsessing about something you hate.
>we weren't born lunatics who are incapable of controlling our own actions.
Okay, so you're saying killing Nanoha discussion was all done with intent and purpose. I'm sure nobody saw that one coming.
>It must be pure hell to get stuck wasting your life obsessing about something you hate.
Look at the pot calling the kettle black. Don't forget to keep stalking the catalog to not miss a single Nanoha thread so you can spam it with "VIVID STRIKE SAVED EVERYTHING NANOHA IS SHIT FUCK OFF"
I guess while we're at it we should ask Olivie what exactly is it with this push to keep proving me right. So let's recap: When someone talks negatively about Vividshit then that's against the rules, but when someone talks positively about Vividshit then that's not against the rules even if rules are being broken. And when someone talks negatively about Nanoha then that's NOT against the rules even if rules are being broken and when someone talks positively about Nanoha then that IS against the rules. I believe I didn't miss anything.
I mean, how else are you going to explain this:
This didn't happen overnight. Like the post I'm replying to said, this was all calculated and deliberate. Discussion has been completely halted. You'd think this sort of thing would be against the rules, since it seems kind of silly that a board for discussion would allow some movement to stop discussion of a certain subject, but as stated earlier, it's all fine as long as you post about how Vividshit rules or something. Why are Nanohafags being punished for wanting to talk about Nanoha? They get insulted, they get banned, they get their threads spammed, and that's on a good day. Seriously, I don't fucking get it. I just want to talk about Nanoha like I could before Vivid Strike happened.
Oh look, more shit that goes directly against the rules set by the sticky. But it badmouths Nanoha so it's okay, no rules broken there, right?
I can only imagine what the reaction would have been if these posts bumping the thread from the bottom of the catalog had been pro-Nanoha posts.
>thanks for keeping my anti-Nanoha circlejerk intact
That's no fair, Nanoha doesn't get a pro-circlejerk.
You still have to tell me what's your problem with Nanoha that you have to destroy discussion of her so thoroughly then go and fellate yourself all day. I already posted what the last Nanoha thread looked like, they were 9 posts. Is that not enough for you?
Yeah, but Fuuka doesn't seem to give a shit, which is what makes her weaker than Rinne.
>Oh yeah I totally live on the street and have to fight hobos and street gangs off night by night and that's why I live from job to job, but who cares about that; it's time to train train train and fight fight fight!
I started in on Nanoha earlier this year and finally finished reading Nanoha Vivid and I came away feeling like Corona should have been the main character. As a normal person who wants to try and keep up with literal monsters, I think she has a more interesting character arc than Vivio (who really hasn't had much of anything). Further Corona's Golem-meist arts are really interesting and has room for all kinds of options and neat power-ups. I think her fight against Einhart was one of the best in the franchise. Vivio is alright, but she seems kind of boring in comparison, and if I wasn't already familiar with her from StrikerS I wouldn't have cared all that much about her. I really wish they would do something more with Vivio because rather than feeling like the protagonist she often feels more like a fifth wheel.
Gonna start in on Vivid Strike now. I hope these two new characters are decent.
I think the same thing, but I also think that Miura should have been the main character.
Miura is the same way, but she's in an even worse state than Corona; Miura is going for the big leagues while not having ancient Belkan lineage and technique. Nor does she have a big golem that she can call upon to hit stuff. She just has hard work and sweat, and she has to hit the monsters who are descendants of ancient Belkan gods among men with her fists.
Unfortunately, Vivid seems extremely intent on proving that lineage > hard work, and continues to dump all over her. I don't even know if she was in the last tournament.
Corona is practically the main character in Vivid Life.
Vivio being the "main character" was a bait and switch from the very beginning. They basically made Einhart the protagonist, but Einhart was a really shitty protagonist because all her issues were self-inflicted and had little to nothing to do with the world around her.
Corona had an actual tangible goal to pursue (keeping up with Vivio), tangible strengths (smart and talented at geomancy/golemancy), and tangible obstacles (being shit physically) that she dealt with in interesting ways (nephelim fist, meist arm). On top of that she is usually the underdog in her fights, and takes somewhat Vita-esque beatings, which makes her more sympathetic than someone like Einhart who has everything handed to her on a silver platter by the plot. She's also the first interesting new form of magic since, what, A's?
I really don't get what happened with her. She's like an actually good mahou shoujo trapped in a moe spinoff. Even Tsuzuki seems to like her to a special degree, considering how much more serious her role is in the original tournament was than Rio, how big her achievements in the team battle were, and her being a yuri doujin artist in the 4koma (author insert?)
Not to mention her copying everyone else's techniques with Nephelim Fist being so thematically appropriate to her inferiority complex toward the others in regards to Strike Arts, and the fact that she actually wins Vivio in the end. There's more detail put into her than anyone else in Vivid.
I have to wonder if he didn't actually want Corona to be a major character all along, but due to editor meddling or something else he was forced to sideline her.
This little girl is more ripped than you and you are just fucking stupid!
>due to editor meddling or something else he was forced to sideline her.
Corona gets tons of attention compared to Rio. It makes me wonder if they were both intended to play a different role in the story. They may have managed to work Corona back into some stuff but practically dropped Rio.
They went to Rio's home for like 10 chapters and hardly gave her any attention
Exactly. It basically just gave her the responsibility of introducing all the new characters and that was it. Then she went back to living alone on Mid for the sake of attending the church's private academy for little apparent reason other than so she can keep being part of Vivio's possy.
Honestly, Tsuzuki should just end Vivid and make Fuuka and Rinne the main characters from now on. They have to stay rivals though or the shit will just become Vivid 2.0.
Fuuka should be the Ippo to Rinne's Miyata.
