>teehee I can delete the plot of whatever I'm fighting
Who the FUCK can stop this absolute madwoman?
>Drills you from behind
Heh, nothing personel
>FRESHes you from behind
Heh, nothing personnell
Cant delete the plot if there isn't one to begin with. Miya-chans got this one in the bag.
No but I love to hate it
He will start drawing again, creating a manga telling the story of the girl who created Altair. But the version where he did not ghost her and drove her to suicide. So he revives her as his creation. And then she gives Altair a stern talking to.
Why are all of Altair's powers so fucking meta? She wasn't designed to be a meta character so where the fuck are these creators that keep making up super weird meta powers like "delete the plot line of another character" instead of standard pew pew lasers anime powers?
Sefauna probably gave her Holopsicon in her original character description and vaguely specified that it had reality bending powers and people just fucking ran with it.
Maybe someone started making up those powers specifically in some shitty crossover fanfic.
How is soda gonna fuck this up? I mean this is the guy who couldn't be bothered to stop her suicide. Also why did the other writers laugh at his pitch for setsuna? It's pretty grim and fucked up and the wants to bring a dead person back that will enrage altair
Not really, it was decent at the beginning when they were building up everything then the event thing got announced and it was all buildup/filler.
Now its the "tournament" arc/ final fight and its somewhat better but theres so many tweests and asspulls that I just cant stop laughing at the stupidity.
If you havent watched it I wouldnt reccomend it, Sharkteeth is great tho.
>OPM is a parody manga
It literally isn't. It's a shonen comedy that often parodies other shonen, but it has internally consistent and well-developed rules which Saitama conforms to.
Yeah, what's the real basis for this? How is that original power even tied to the fanfic shit at this point? Why is one person's music video even getting that much fanfiction and stuff? At what point does she leave behind all the basic trappings and balances of her source material?
Furthermore, what exactly are the videos? Is someone giving her these powers outright, or is this stuff a big twisting of "her chunni fortress in this one short has a lot of security cameras"? There's absolutely no thought or logic given to this character. There's no attempt to determine what her powers are or the extent to which she can make them. Even the single video of copy grunts was not that much of a stretch. What's worse, the series is terrible at connecting "kind of liked" Internet Altair with the plot's Altair. It's a very flimsy, forgettable excuse to give her dumb "get out of jail for free" cards that would have lent itself better to a younger child playing pretend on a playground.
The videos are just her doing cartoon stuff, she just translates that cartoon logic in chuuni terms. Like if in one video they kill her and she appears right away unhurt she got the power of rewriting herself in the world.
>"At what point did you begin believing that I was Soda?"
They should've summoned Yukari
It was not the original altair.
Only the template
That's not all of the videos, and it's lowkey in cases like that. Furthermore, why didn't the series focus on researching those videos and creating counters to her abilities? Instead it's basically a terrible divide between the source of the powers and the character.
>No but I love to hate it
Pretty much this.
They have never bothered to see if she had a limit. Furthermore, she's actively trying to kill them, so who cares if she'll try to push harder? She's already trying to push as hard as she can to kill them.
Also, considering her poor writing and the series in general, if Charon could stop it the move would have never worked in the first place. It's a nothing series with nothing to care for.
Her goal is to annihilate the universe and everyone in it. There's no such thing as actually letting someone go. Furthermore, this was meant to be the final battle, so they absolutely should have started pushing by that point.
Her goal is to kill them all at the end. If not for the poor writing of the asinine "I'm going to sit on my ass for six months", she'd have long since tried to do so in a final push. They have always needed to take her down, and knowing this was their final shot in general, the time to probe and test things out was upon them, and six months long.
She could just erase the spiral power back to ep 1 status or become like Gurren Lagann herself. Some of you just really fail to comprehend how bullshit she is.
Fucking around for no reason has been a normal thing for her even before the bird cage though, and the way she's just trounced everyone and made likeable characters look bad before ultimately killing them would do no one favors.
Trying to find out where she was would be an obvious thing they'd attempt to do in that time period if they were even remotely intelligent. Even if they couldn't find her, they could at least test out their ideas and see if they worked the next time they fought her.
Can someone explain what the fuck even happened with Shark girl.
In fact i've completely failed to understand her abilities the entire manga, what relevance does it even have to the scene that occurs?
yeah, her whole existence is to counter basically her sister, she was a deprived from a personality to do so, and on top of that she fails less than 5 minutes in and her existence is basically absorbed, she only existed by herself less than 5 minutes
You cant erase spiral power nigger, its a power that fucks probability, time, universe, laws of physics nd dimensions themselves in multiversescale
>Gurren in ep 1 status
Simon still drills her ass. Hes the source of Gurrens power.
Altair reminds me a bit of Black Rock Shooter. If they're even remotely similar than it explains why she has no real limits against other characters with fixed plots and abilities.
The ratings are low as fuck bro. The series is dead.
Should have made her become the villain instead on the "same person" principle. It's literally wasted space and a horrendous botch on existential opportunity and pondering to have her not matter and be absorbed. Plus, it's a better story if they accidentally wrote her super form for her instead of her doing some dumb shit out of her ass.
erasing spiral power? Maybe not, making Simon and the others unable to use it? Reasonable, she would have to study the mechanics of the show beforehand, both of them are bullshit powers after all, and there is also the fact that she could find a way to use spiral power herself
It's a power that would realistically only work on creations in her universe. She's actually fairly limited because unlike most other powerful characters she is considered fictional in universe so she can't bring out anything too overpowered which other reality warpers have no trouble with in any reality or universe they find themselves in
You have no proof to back that up. However, we've seen her fuck up other character's abilities, even though their writers are their to help them out. Until there is proof she wins against GL.
The holopsicon is omnipotent, ratings dont matter.
Neither does deleting the plot, nor that retarded "inverting casuality" meme we have since gae bolg, so who cares at this point?
Black Rock Shooter's stories still have some consistency and limits to them, along with a depth of risk and hardship in combat. Black Rock Shooter is also a mute in a lot of cases while other characters handle the dialogue and plot movement. Altair fails at this and thus does not function in those crucial ways that could ever prop up this series or make her well-written in general.
In those individual stories maybe. Her powerlevel in the games are different from the manga, or even the anime. She wasn't really created with limitations in mind, or even a background.
well, then I guess she is at her strongest while in the native universe of said OP characters, the universe itself determines how much power she can use, so in one universe she could be on your regular shonen level fighting lets say Ichigo, then be on par with Demonbane in it's universe, this is without taking her meta powers into consideration, if she destroys the creators universe there is nothing Demonbane could do
She's flexible, but still within certain boundaries. She fills different roles in different settings, but nothing that can be grossly exaggerated like Altair is. Black Rock Shooter is actually balanced and functional, and above all likeable. Also, time stamp the video at least instead of dumping a 14-minute thing.
>She literally created a better ending
Only the recap was good among the cour two episodes.
>She fills different roles in different settings
You realize this is how Altair harnesses all of her power right? I mean your post in its entirety is dumb I don't know why you bother talking about Altair or the show at all.
She is weaksauce compared to Demonbane. Though I suppose that someone with metafiction powers like Featherine Augustus Aurora could beat her by rewriting the rules of the universe as well.
>making physical contact with the evil boss's Hat/Ring/Staff/Object of Power after they have been defeated
They are writers but didn't know to avoid one of the most obvious twists in narrative?
Spiral power is exclusive for Tengen Toppa races desu
It requires you to alter life itself that can resist bullshit hax like reality, probability, time and outright removal.
Antispiral are multiverse busters and TTGL stomped em.
>B but you have no proof
Watch the show or read TTGLs wikipage.
>Fuck over spiral power or mechs
Spiral power and Lagann are very much alive
What's the arbitrary point where that happened then? The characters could have at least tried to research that and possibly harness it for themselves.
Black Rock Shooter has actual settings and products. Altair has random videos.
What if their last resort is meteora summoning this version of herself.
To gain acceptance, she was in all recap episode, or easter egg.
A joke character when she can one shot Altair.
I'm sad we will never see Altair 2.0 vs Sluteora in an all out fistfight while it's pouring down rain.
Accept the true ending.
>rewrites the entire story however she wants to fit her likings
remember if you defeat her it's because she wrote the story to be so
she is the author of it after all
"Between one and none there lies an infinity."
Altair has no background, therefore has no limits on what she can achieve as long as she gains acceptance. Anything less than a meta character does not stand a chance against her.
>No background means no limits for power
Heh kiddo, watch who youre talking to. Plus no limits to power is a stretch that is unsupported by current episodes.
Yah, big fish in small pond
>It just works
Or it wont and she gets drilled.
During the time she thinks about rewriting history shes dead thanks to speed difference
Yeah she stopped herself ergo she hasnt been shown to be capable
>putting sabers through a person with Simons.reaction speed
Okay, Simon can pilot a mech that regularly zips close to FTL in space plus dodges lasers plus outpunches an eldrich gods
Shes gonna get drilled
Are you dumb? Simon can be really fucking strong, but he isn't meta-warping tier.
He isn't the author, like Featherine or Ajimu.
He isn't the reader, like FRESH.
He isn't the audience like Altair.
He can eat entire universes, or kill anyone who even thinks of attacking you, nor can he reverse causality.
i'd drill her if you know what a i mean.
The Antispiral had that dream-like trap, there were entire pocket universes that ceased to exist when the Antispiral was defeated, and Spiral Power had insane ceilings it could reach, with the end of the series hinting that Simon can indeed reach them. In an all-out serious fight, Simon has a shot.
I just don't remember. It has been a very long time.
He's not changing his opinion, no matter what logic you throw at his face. His own bias limits his perspective, so no common ground and/or understand can be reached.
Pic related. Reasonable discussion no longer holds weight here.
>She wasn't designed to be a meta character
She wasn't designed to be anything
>these creators that keep making up super weird meta powers like "delete the plot line of another character"
For the last fucking time, it's not that her fans are creating fanworks where she gets new powers, is that she picks whatever meme thing she does in fanworks and turns it into a power even if it was never meant to be a power.
Why the fuck is this so hard for people to get this? holy shit.
It's actually one of the few things that were properly shown and explained instead of just being infodumped, and yet people still can't get it through their fucking skulls.
Well she has the power that everything that happens in fanworks of her is Canon, the main source of all of her powers and abilities.
Unfortunately, this includes Doujinshi.
The dick anon, she can't beat the dick. No one can.
>Souta's creation is Setsuna
I fucking called it and I'm getting so god damn sick of being right all the time. I called Magane helping Souta, too.
Throw me a god damn curve ball you stupid fucking cartoon.
Yeah, but this is pretty much a null argument of "No U."
"I delete u."
"yes it does."
"no it dont."
"yes is does."
"i drill u."
"hah no u drill yourself."
"I am powerd by drills, I level up row row row your boat."
"shit, i delete dat."
She was just surprised that he appeared there in Selesia's world.
She knows him but doesn't really care about him since he doesn't really have anything to do with her not her plans.
>Her creator's sole emotional support that abandoned her in her greatest hour of need.
You'd think Altair might've had at least some interest in him. Especially considering he is the only person alive who knew who her creator was, if she had just killed him first she wouldn't now be about to lose.
>SodaCAN's epins twist is just summoning Setsuna in to talk Altair down
>instead of actually gary stu'ing his way in to talk her down himself
HE'S EVEN A MAJOR PUSSY AFTER SHARKTEETH GIVES HIM THE POWER OF EVERYTHING POSSIBLE
>implying it isn't a giant ruse and that is in fact Soda in disguise
The fact she's wearing his glasses instead of her original red glasses is highly suspicious. Either Soda totally fucked up (which will send Altair into a screeching autistic fit of rage), or it's him in disguise.
The worst part is that everyone saw setsuna coming from a mile away and yet the show made treated as if it were THAT. If you're going to use THAT make it something unexpected for fucks sake.
>*teleports inside u*
heh.... all according to keikaku...
>*dodges hangakus attack, even though it literally goes straight through her*
you thought you had a chance? hoouu..
>*sets health value to 9999999 in cheat engine*
holopscion 64th movement..
>*swords now orbiting hime at 10x the speed of light*
>*accidentally uses the wrong holopscion movement, and changes her outfit to a virgin killing sweater*
>*hat-kun falls off again*
>*fans flood the streets to give her double headpats, curtain falls, and everyone else exits stage left*
Altair is undefeatable by simple fact that she wields the power of a creator and can change the plot of fiction to her liking.
All this talk of universes and time and space manipulation is pointless because they're just creations. Words in fiction that can easily be changed.
Compared to Gurren Lagann, she's Kazuki Nakashima.
No. It's enjoyable but it's really frustrating how much potential you can see from the concept, only for them to barely scrape the surface at every opportunity. Like even just simple shit.
And if she's popular enough to get all these shitloads of fan interpretations all over the internet, how did it take them so long to figure out who the fuck she was at the beginning? Initially they presented her as some sort of completely unknown character, then brought in some notable controversy, and now suddenly she has limitless powers because of all the fanwanking over her.
The government never got a good look at her. All they had was really distant images of her. Fatty was the first person other than Souta to see her up close and he found her in short order.
>Why is one person's music video even getting that much fanfiction and stuff?
Literal meme character.
>Furthermore, what exactly are the videos? Is someone giving her these powers outright
Liberal interpretations of stuff that happens in fanart.
>that would have lent itself better to a younger child playing pretend on a playground.
She's basically an edgy, chuuni version of minus, so it fits. She's not exactly acting mature.
Not that guy but let me ask you something first. Are you talking about when they first started getting blurry pics of Altair all over the world, or after they started working with Meteora and the rest?
Both I guess. Even when it's just blurry pics, it shouldn't have been too hard to find her if she was really as popular as this episode seems to imply. An afternoon of searching on notbooru would have been enough to at least find her as a candidate. And while they did find out her identity more quickly once they got more info on her, it still took way longer than it should have.
its obvious they could find her if they got any good pictures. they couldnt, so it was hard to identify her. try narrowing down a blurry person at night high up floating in the air and searching for their fanart / anime equivalent on website like pixiv where there are hundreds of thousands of characters and OC.
No shit they would find her if they got a good look at her. And it's not like she could be found through Akinator either, she has no story.
The Government literally thought it was UFO sightings or it was all a hoax.
The reason is why they didn't find her at first is really fucking obvious. They did not know she was a fictional character that had come to life, so they had no reason to search the internet for her.
Altair has never acted mature, she tries to be serious but with that she comes of as smug, not to mention the emotional mess she can be sometimes, she literally is a spoiled child
but I love because of that
Would shark's quality drastically decline if she was shown more often?
Is her BEST status directly tied to how little she actually appears?
They did find her.
The events up until episode 11 took place in a span of 2 weeks.
First the goverment barely knew what was going on.
Then they contacted Meteora and the others and that's where they started searching for her with a very vague idea and a blurry video that didn't help much since they only had the "Military Uniform Princess" description, which understandably only gave other results since her fans call her Altair and not "MUP"
Then less than a week after that, fatty continued searching since he had a better idea because he saw her in person.
Yes less than a fucking week, I think around 4 days to finally find her after formally starting to search for her(you can check the dates), that seems a pretty short search time to me.
So it's pretty fucking retarded to say that they "couldn't find her".
I'VE COME TO BARGAIN
>But what happens if you put a number of sabers through him?
1) there will be a frame showing simon going down
2) Altair Does a Monologue
3) altair gets cut off and wide eyed
>The tomorrow we're trying to reach is...not a tomorrow you've decided on! etc. etc.
4) simon uses blood to make a drill
Nina disappears at the end
Sirius would have worked if they had given her MC status in the crossover as a direct rival to Altair. Not only would she have gotten more acceptance that way instead of being kept together by magic and duct tape, it would also have been a chance to villainize Altair and define her powers (and weaknesses) clearly. Since she has no creator anymore, what the majority accepts becomes her "canon".
Instead, the creators went full retard and gave Meteora a fanfiction to stroke her ego instead of blowing out Altair.
fighting bullshit power with bullshit power is very easy
just throw a random character from /a/ power list chart.
simon has the ultimate plot armor. And there's a precedence in ttgl.
Kamina getting stabbed by a spear bigger than his body was able to monologue for like 20 fucking minutes, catch gurren's sun glasses, adjust it, btfo cannon fodders and GIGA DRILLU BREAKUUUU
i'm not saying simon's gonna live through it, but he can kill altair
>altair shills btfo
get rekt scrub xD
Making Sirius the MC of the crossover isn't that easy.
The problem with that is acceptance.
Altair was accepted as the villain because she was already popular. Making a literal who the hero from the beginning is just as bad as shoving her near the end, except that in that case they wouldn't even be able to set cage due to the poor acceptance.
Even a fucking shitty robot could beat her though.
>cambodian cartoon image boards
But keeping her a secret also ruined her acceptance levels, which in turn fucked up the entire plan. And since they used the entire fucking show to establish the concept of acceptance levels, they should have known better than that.
> Making a literal who the hero from the beginning is just as bad as shoving her near the end
That's why you have to build her up. Call her Vega and tie her up to the legend. Japane would eat that shit up right there.
Restricting Altair's unlimited power through proper storytelling would have been more important, though.
Logos erased the concept of authors
Not after Holopsicon number six hundred and sixty six hollows out her power.
It was a chance they had to take. If Altair had found out about it beforehand then they would be fucked even harder. She might not even have waited for them to finish preparing the show if it pissed her off enough.
My (wife) Altair is so cute.
If that's the case, normal humans are stronger than Altair if they band together and destroy anime and anyone that watches it. Then destroy the planet and return to nothingness.
>literally rants about bumbling gods that don't care about the consequences of their stories and tormenting creations for their amusement
>befriending a bumbling god that manipulates reality for her own amusement
Yes, she is very cute!
As for you faggot, too late! We've been married ever since the Promotional Poster!
> She might not even have waited for them to finish preparing the show if it pissed her off enough.
But she clearly needed the Birdcage as a stage to power herself up. That's why she was sitting on her couch for months doing fuckall.
She can't go around and wreck shit everywhere or the world would say "FUCK YOU!" and throw her out.
I have to say that any Universe destroying enemy could kill her because she can't even destroy the universe and it most likely why no Universe destroying being show up in reality because in this World they would be throw out like Altair was almost back in episode 10
>yfw the hat was the true body all along
Because I don't provide faggots with the proper Uso no Uso pictures. Put in the effort yourself or get out.
Not canon. And my Altair is best.
I'm quite undecided whether that's not a good idea or not.
nt senpaitachi, mine is clearly the best
This is my Altair.
>Altair can multiply herself
>Altairfags rejoice in that they can simultaneously share their waifu and keep her all to themselves
>they all go lesbian for eachother
Search your hearts, you know it to be true.
How dare you make her do that! She should use a washing machine instead! You're making my Altair angry.
I need some crazy eyes yandere Altair pictures, STAT
They all go lesbians for each other, and NTRs Altairfags. Sounds good to me. So that my Altair would be the only one left.
He was supposed to be the reader, since it's the only person the author can't affect. The rubber band is literally just him tearing through the pages, at least in my interpretation.
But, anon, your Altair is the catalyst for making them all go lesbian! She's the FIRST Altairsbian!
I love how disgusted she was right there. Nice voice acting.
You just signed your own death warrant Yuuya, wait doesn't that affect my Altair too?
Because she summoned all the other Altairs! She tricked you and made you think they were for a Gunpuku no Harem when, infact, she was lesbian all along and just needed your acceptance to summon more for her selfcest orgy that YOU aren't even invited to watch! All the Altairs are lesbians for themselves only!
but they didn't know that you fuck
also it doesn't matter if she wasn't doing anything, they were running against time since the fabric of reality could tear apart at any moment
How much are they going to charge for the new outfit?
Every fucking time.
I feel like I'm trapped in an infinite loop
Both Altair and Magane are boring concepts of characters.
Altair is just a time bomb and Magane is a finicky wish-granting entity (almost like Nanika).
I can't wait for this show to end and be forgotten.
I still prefer the old one. But I can agree for sure that the new outfit is cute!
Deleting my plot was all apart of the plan
>Uso no uso
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WTF IS THIS SHIT
>you have no proof
Spiral power is the manifestation of the concept of bullshit. I'm not fucking kidding, it works by making asspulls and nonsense look awesome. It is never explained because the users are too stupid and hotblooded to care and understand
watch the fucing show
I don't know who's uso no usoing who.
So they have 2 episodes to try to have a ghost convince Altair to stop fighting? I doubt this will work but if they want to have Altair lose this is literally the only option and everyone pretty much guessed it ages ago.
The heels are interesting.
Give him an anime power, anything doesnt matter, and he'd use her as toilet paper.
The answer was me. It was me all along, taking your dubs twice in a row.
Wanna know how dead she is?
The old outfit was cuter but I like the new a lot too. Seems more sexy.
the answer to your question is hop in from where Mamika died.
No, it's the same thing that when OPM aired and a lot of people discussed the Goku vs Saitama.
''LOL Goku is the strongest, he is faster, super saiyan...etc''
Both Altair and Saitama are characters not made to be taken serious on powerlevel discussions.
Altar wins because she have bullshit powers, period.
It makes perfect sense if you know how to actually uso no uso.
That guy is a faggot though and doesn't know it.
Lots of people today can't help but resolve to jumping the shark. It's just so amusing.
> Fans makes a fanvideo of her doing impossible things
> She translates those cartoon stuff into her own power
That would make the fanvid creators her "creator" and source of her power as well, right? If they stopped making vids then she wouldn't get anymore additional powers.
>I can't wait for this show to end and be forgotten
He then use the Uso no Uso mechanic, the show now will not end and never be forgotten, seems like you're the one who don't know how to use it you faggot.
Doesn't seem like the want to stop though.
Though I believe the protag team could also slip in weaknesses into Altair using this system. They explained they cant completely depower Altair by uploading shit content because muh acceptance, but I dont see whats stopping them from giving a weak spots here and there.
That should be accepted pretty easily.
Yeah, a guy made a statement, then someone tried to uso no uso because he's an idiot and doesn't know how it works (like you). Guy didn't make a statement, then someone call him a liar/the statement bullshit, for him to uso no uso. It's POSSIBLE you can understand picture related, but even that might be too complicated for you.
In one of the early episodes setsuna put her glasses on soda and his vision cleared like they were his own. Setsuna is soda's tulpa/alter ego he created because he had no friends.
No they can't slip weaknesses into the videos because Altair doesn't need to use the content as is. She chooses what she wants from the content and uses it as she pleases.
Fuck this shit has been asked weeks now. I'm amazed at how these concepts are so difficult to understand for some people.
Better question, where did she get the funds do even do they shit she's done?
Just saying, if people made memes about Wojack beating up Pepe and then summoned Wojack in the final Armageddon against Pepe, they would have an easier time and the acceptance shouldnt be difficult to get.
what makes a lie actually be about another lie, as opposed to simply being a second sequential lie in the same topic?
also, is an inside-out lie actually truth? does that mean all lies have truth on the inside? do all truths have lies on the inside? i'm not familiar with this geometry but it sounds particularly enlightening. perhaps that was lost in translation though..
