You're forgetting some very important things. The Uchiha were very insular to preserve their bloodline although perhaps too much. In the absents of another Uchiha, an Uzimaki would make a good partner for marriage and breeding as both clans have the same progenitor. Boruto is likely the best candidate to have Kurama sealed in him when Naruto kicks the bucket, and with Sarada basically destined to be the next Hokage it would be a good thing for them to be married as the jinchuuriki is ussualy someone close to one of the shadows. Lastly, Sumire isn't cannon in the manga and can't really be in a relationship with one of the main characters.

Which would make mixing with Boruto, or anybody, a bad idea. She's better off with Mitsuki, at least he's synthetic so their child will be purebred and with the Sharingan, and he can take the Uchiha name and continue the clan, whereas Sarada would likely take the Uzumaki name.

Even the Karin being Sarada's real mom revelation lacked the impact it had in the manga, the situation got diffused so quickly, that if you're an anime only you'd have to be a complete imbecile to not notice this is not suppose to be factual information. I don't think Boruto even has a strong enough life force or chakra to use Kurama, as he can only use 4 or 5 shadow clones at 12 (when Naruto could make 100's) and the datebook says he has less chakra than Sarada. The fact that he's gotten his own unique dojutsu that is similar to the byakugan also suggests he takes more from the hyuuga side of the family and even if he did inherit some uzumaki blood he's as much of an uzumaki as Tsunade is so the blood has been diluted to a point were it has no effect.

Am I the only one watching Boruto for the parents? The kids are all so bland and boring, like they're filler characters, but it's great fun to watch the characters I saw as kids being adults now with families and serious village responsibilities. Boruto himself got it particularly bad, since the movie was centered around his development he started it with a significant character flaw of being entitled prodigy brat too that didn't know value of effort, but since SP couldn't afford to have main character like that, he's just a copy of young Naruto circa chuunin exam.

You're completely missing the point. Yes, ability-wise Boruto is better than Naruto in every way, and that was essential to his character. You see the movie was a genuinely well-written story, and it achieves it by having Boruto go through an arc: he starts of as an arrogant entitled brat who's accustomed to getting everything for free, just like his abilities, and he's easy to give up when he feels resistance (the part about video games represents it), that also stems his conflict with Naruto, who never had anything handed to him and achieved greatness through hard work, so he disapproves of his son, but since Boruto doesn't understand this position he thinks his dad is just being asshole to him for no reason (this demonstrated in Sasuke's explanation about Naruto), throughout the movie Boruto learns to work for his result and realizes that his father's been through a lot and that it's his experience that got him to where he is that completely eclipses Boruto's talent (this demonstrated in giant rasengan scene).
And now we go back to the anime, where Boruto is supposed to be arrogant and easy to give up, but since SP has no idea how to write such a character, their Boruto is just the same as early Naruto if slightly more cocky: he doesn't give up in tough situations, and expresses humility, which goes completely against everything that makes his character.
And Boruto isn't the only one, all other kids are equally bland and standard, they have no coherent personality, just stock archetypes. For all of Kishimoto's autism and crippling aversion to good writing he had coherent thought-out ideas. Characters were his strongest side, at least those that weren't Naruto and Sasuke. As a result only good characters are the ones that were left unchanged since Kishimoto work, i.e. parents who are no longer shackled by Kishi's stupid shit like constant battles, training, and asspulling eyes and abilities.
