Mebuki seems interesting, though I'm still not entirely sure why the first chapter introduced her as an unsociable lone wolf when she's actually a competent and compassionate leader.
SHIZUKU is trash and can go back to whatever shounen she escapted from.
Suzume is cute and I hope we get to see more of her.
Yumiko still seems like a generic haughty ojou-sama to me and really needs some fleshing out.
Ayaya is basically a side character so far, but putting the team's mom in the body of a loli is pretty cute.
Aki-sensei has reached levels of edge and chuuni that would make Chikage blush. I hope we get some insight into her character soon.

All in all, I still feel like the cast hasn't gotten enough exposition so far even though the novel already spent much more time on character introductions than NoWaYu or WaSuYu. It's hard to judge the new protagonists when I don't know what's the deal with half of them.

Mebu told me that Karin was a normal person, but I'm not sure about that.

The only positive outlook I have against that personality of her is the possibility of ego stroking scene in the future.

For example, imagine the sentinel and Yuusha met in the middle of some kind of mission.

I think you are misunderstanding where exactly Mebuki lacks heroism. She has a very strong conviction so I doubt she will ever waver in her beliefs on the battle field. The issue is like her dad, she's way too diligent in being a hero on the job and completely disregards her daily life. Its nice that her dad was diligent and a good role model, but it he should've paid more attention his daughter.
In the same vein Mebuki needs to realize that her daily life and friends are important even off the battle field (which shes starting to do now). If she tries to be a hero and gets too locked into her work, she wont be able to be the support that the team needs particularly when things get rough outside the battle field. She's basically predevelopment karin but on steriods.

I think the difference between Wakaba and Mebuki is that Wakaba's reason for fighting was flawed from the start and presented as such, while Mebuki's "I won't let anyone die" is a thoroughly good intention, but she simply doesn't live up to it. The only reason her team is still alive is that the girls barely managed to save their own asses, but she seems to believe that it's actually all thanks to her superior leadership.

Sure, she may have encountered difficulties and had a little luck getting out of them, but they've described her leadership and quick thinking saving other Sentinels countless times, in ways that only a real leader could do. Don't be complacent even if you live in a developed country, I've been to many hospitals and it's not an unreasonable fear.
