I think this episode is like the fucking most underrated anime episode of all time.
Sousoke getting disillusioned with war meeting some prostitute that looks exactly like his crush (which may be a result of some sort of psychological problem, either way it's Jungian a f) in war torn China (I think) was such an interesting deviation from what I expected and beautifully paced and measured.
