Because he started to create a universe established in the lore of Tsukihime, Melty Blood, Kara no Kyoukai, and Fate. It seems like he was ty to build upon a universe but now he has retconned nearly everything for the next upcoming Fate/thing release.

Takeuchi: I created it because I just liked it, and I wanted to make something like Tsukihime, but more sophisticated. I changed the character's gender, in order to have them fit in with the gamers today. As a product I do feel like it has grown much more than I expected. Whenever we said that 『Fate』 was over and done with, it would refuse to die. I suppose it’s only natural to love and revere something that you have spent so much time cultivating and being so fulfilled by, and to become so attached to it. I don’t mean to be obsessive, but I do want to treat this with utmost care, as we have done up until this point.

Nasu: For example, a theme of the game “Fate/EXTRA CCC” is “girls are monsters”. I wanted to make an RPG that reached the height of passion. At first I'd aimed for CCC to be something that can be enjoyed on its own, even more so with Extra. And that Extra can be enjoyed even more with CCC, like Fate/hollow ataraxia to Fate/stay night. But as I wrote the scenario, I became aware of a desire to state the "answer" of the Fate series, which has been continuing for almost ten years now. After ten years, I finally realized that "this is what I wanted to say with the Fate series." If I'm able to complete this, then there'll no longer be anything left for me to say.

Takeuchi: 『Fate』 is really interesting isn’t it? We have the room to think about new possibilities. We will not make a direct sequel, but we’ll go for anything that seems interesting.

Nasu: When a project gets tough, I’ve always gone “I’ll do the rest myself, so go on to something new and give it your all”, and that’s kind of ingrained into me, but my successors can’t develop if I keep doing this. I’m having trouble with that now. I did plan to back off from “FGO” after one year.

Nasu: I think having sisters was a big part of that. We had shounen manga and shoujo manga on the same shelf, and I read them the same. As I read more and more, the idea that “shounen manga are fun to read; shoujo manga have interesting stories” established itself in my mind when I was in elementary school. I always got the sense that shoujo manga depicted people’s inner workings more in its storytelling.

What’s more, shoujo manga had both sci-fi shoujo manga like Takemiya-sensei’s, as well as delinquent shoujo manga (laughs). I read both of those a lot when I was little. I moved away from shoujo manga for a time, but in university I encountered Hiwatari Saki-sensei’s “Please Save My Earth” and Nasu Yukie-sensei’s “Here Is Greenwood”. It reminded me once again of how interesting it was.

On top of that, I also read Himuro Saeko-sensei for the first time, a bit late. I started with “Nante Suteki ni Japanesque”. The writing style was light and easy to read, and the characters’ thought processes were to my liking. “But I ain’t no Heian buff, so this don’t really turn my crank,” I thought, but then my friend’s older sister said “I get the feeling these ones would suit Nasu-kun better” and lent me some books. They were the short story collection “Sayonara Arurukan”, containing Himuro-sensei’s debut work, and 1981’s “Koisuru Onnatachi”. I got super hooked and devoured them. “Clara Hakusho” is still my bible; I have one copy to read and one for safekeeping, but both are all yellowed now. It’s still the apex of girls’ school fiction in my mind, and I always wanted to write a story like that. That’s how “Kara no Kyoukai” was born.

It's become the capeshit of anime at this point. They're just looking for the next hero to turn into a sexualized whore to sell off in their mobage. It's so little work, they don't need to write any backstory because they just rip everything off existing legends except for genderbends or when Nasu make tweaks like giving saber a magical futa penis.

There were signs of this happening as far back as when the interview was published stating how saber's gender was swapped halfway through development to sell more. Now with everything getting adaptations and a mobage printing money it's full force and they're probably never going to make another original IP again.

Ruined by their own success, they realized they don't have to make good, interesting visual novels anymore and can get much more money by just selling lottery tickets for digital waifus to autistic whales.

2. Fate Remake. A single canon route with several improvements on every character, same treatment as Tsukihime.
Example, Arthur looks and behaves male, but is secretly female, doing away with the waifubait bullshit.
Example, Heracles actually has EX rank strength and is actually the physically the strongest Servant.
Then, a sequel. Fate can keep going with a new Holy Grail War, but not be shitty spinoffs.

3. Angel Notes movie, and it has lots of amazing scenery and backgrounds, with a couple action scenes, including Ado Edem's.

FGO VR is made by Sony as one of their exclusive titles, EXTELLA was made by Marvelous (and whatever they plan to do with it in the future may as well be from them because, reasons...), the animes are being done by their respective studios and not exactly TM itself, the current/recent novels don't exactly come from TM besides being official ones (and besides Kinoko giving them details about things not revealed yet).

TM is just playing games and leaving Kinoko's friends do the fan-fiction, which results in they getting their cut, which once again results in them paying their FFXIV subscription.

The short answers is: No, TM isn't working on anything for what they are known for. Everything else is just spin-offs and Kinoko's tick of writing and no stopping but only for farming items once every weekend.

It has no point to exist except to print money. The merits of the original Fate as a vehicle to tell a story about the idea of super heroes is all but lost now. They just keep spinning off more Fate. At first, it could be argued some of it was good, but it's slowly devolved into a lazy series of repetitions asking the question, "What if historical figure X was secretly a girl all along?"

Part of the fault lies with fans, of course. Everyone wanted more info on the Grail Wars, even if they were just there for the aforementioned super hero plot. They wanted more historical figures duking it out in a battle royale. Type-Moon answered with more of that and less of the sort of novel stories that got people interested in the first place. It's made Type-Moon complacent.

Have any fatefags here actually played any of the spinoff games besides the vn and grand order?

I genuinely really enjoyed the VN and UBW/Zero, but I can't get into any of the other stuff. I tried fgo but after about 5 hours it got really stale and it seemed just like every other mobile game that tries to coerce you into microtransactions.

I only played the VN and watched the different anime (except Ilya and Apocrypha). I still have Ataraxia on my backlog that I really have to play, but aside from that Extraverse doesn't interest me, same thing with Grand Order.
The thing I like with Nasuverse is seeing the paranormal and the extraordinary clashing with the real world, Seeing Servants interacting with a truckload of Servants doesn't interest me at all.

Nasu wants to write Fate. You obviously never wrote a single sentence of fiction. If he wanted to write something non Fate, he would have done it. Extella was indeed something he wrote because of a paycheck, but he loves FGO and is excited about it, and he can easily write about it.

He never said he would write a continuation of Mahoyo, only that maybe it'll have two more parts, it was tentative. As for Tsukihime, no author who really likes their own work would take 9 years to write a story, he's not inspired by the setting anymore. So you can expect a half-assed job.
