The characters seem to have been originally for doujinshi. In Another Alice, Airi has sex with the brother, and in Another Alice 2 Rise has sex with him, although both are framed at the end as being doujinshi drawn by Mako. I think Mujin no Kuni no Alice was a non-ero 4koma of the characters released at the same time as Another Alice.

Though I'm personally fine with it, I guess it would be better if its harem end. The girls are quite good to be leaved alone, too bad once Shinobu starts shooting down girls, things go downhill, he also lose his cool to the girls once they go aggresive to him.

To be honest I have no idea how the building of intimacy between him and the side girls would ended up becoming rejection at the end, it would feel forced no matter how the story is ended.
