Unless your show is a shitshow by Toei to sell toys (precure, super sentai) or a shonnen jump posterboy, your anime in this day and age will be DOOMED to only have 13 episodes, by grateful you get a second season that might take more than a year, but then again those animes that are made to run longer have shit animation to begin with.
