I think this was necessary honestly. He's obviously been getting more open with his emotions, he even directly says so right before this begins as he reflects on how he's asked for everyone's advice regarding tsubomi.

The thing is, if he'd never confronted ???% that new openness and confidence would have never been complete because of that lingering fear and very real danger.

I have no idea how he's going to cope with it either though. Mob seeing the whole city absolutely destroyed by him? that's pretty fucking catastrophic.

I think that'd be a shit ending to be honest. It's been shown that his powers are so intense partially bc his emotions are repressed and intense. to keep up with that metaphor / comparison i think its more likely that after this his powers arent gone, but less potent, to keep up with him passing through puberty and changing from it. the happiest end game is him emotionally evening out, in a healthy way, and his powers following that.

I don't know. He's risky with attacking sometimes, but hopefully he gets the same sense of how powreful this thing is or at least can tell from the damage it's caused and walk alongside. That and i don't know if he'd hit mob even if it was for the greater good.

i think it'd be nice if he walks alongside him instead of trying to stop him, and might work, but ??? seems to be exerting pressure even being out (cracking and crushing everything around him) and as a non-esper reigen might not be able to get close enough to talk without collapsing.

it's a nice idea but i dont think its gonna happen.

But then again everything about his last arc was very good

He realized what he really wanted, which was to have friends, he found a friend in Shigeo and Shigeo finally saw Dimple as a real friend, Dimple used his powers to save Shigeo for real and gave up on his intentions to be a god so he stopped being an evil spirit

I feel like it was his time for go, him being there as a spirit isn't right, he eventually has to get rest

ONE honestly hasn't failed me yet. Every ending has been surprising to me. Especially the end of dimple arc. The claw boss arc lingered a bit to long and was honestly the weakest arc. But it had some dope moments.
