Why didn't Guts just talk to him and explain the situation? I can't exactly blame Griffith for losing his shit since it was so sudden and, as far as Griffith is concerned, absolutely out of the blue. Do you people even realize how much Griffith loved Guts? Ironically, the shit Griffith said applied to everyone but Guts.

He literally valued Guts more than he valued his own dream. One conversation, with Guts saying "Hey man so why'd you say that shit" and Griffith replying with "Dude no it's not like that" would've avoided the whole situation.
