I loved the anime, certainly under-discussed if not underrated. I never followed the manga. Did they grow up in a time-skip deal or have they just been aging as the series went?

/a/ disliked the anime too because the first episodes focus on snot and piss humor, it then gets amazing but this board will never know about it.

For what I remember, it has its consistant fanbase at the time it was airing. Nothing astounding but fine enough. The problem is that it sunk into oblivion with the slow, uneven and chaotic manga translation.

I need more chubby lolis in my life though.
