Nah, this always gets touted but it's disingenuous at best. It's not a service issue. There are just people who aren't going to pay for something if they don't have to. It really is that simple.

Funimation BDs restrict the subtitles to specific audio sets, ie english audio = no subtitles, japanese audio = forced subtitles.
Its a service issue when you do not even have control over turning the subtitles on or off reguardless of audio selection.
