Same it's pretty comfy, i thought with all the OVA's and the way season 2 completed I thought for sure a S3 would happen. Also didn't it sell alright in Japan? Either way art and comedy even if it was ecchi based mostly, was pretty awesome.

I read all the light novels and this had to be the biggest drop off in quality I've ever seen. It was one of the best things I've ever read/watched until immediately following the Peeking on the Bath arc and then the author starts rehashing the same plot over and over. In fact the last volume is literally just the first volume rehashed.

Still, if you haven't read this series, you NEED to read those first few volumes, they're absolutely incredible.

It's an overblown fallacy that a harem MC picking more than one girl would necessarily lead to a School Days ending. SD ended the way it did due to shitty communication as well as the MC generally treating everyone like shit.

We've gotten good harem endings before, it just takes mutual understanding and respect on the part of the characters.

No, it wasn't she was basically completely out of the picture once Keima messed up and she got all upset and was not going to interact with him. Keima then focused on the other girls despite feeling some remorse, but never clearly showed he was pinning over her. In fact he seem to be getting much closer to the other girls. So much a large amount of the fanbase assumed she was out of the running for at least a year, and even then in the last chapter, most were surprised by the pick except the long time Chihiro fans who still weren't sure she was in the running if Keima was to choose a girl.
