My biggest problem is how Jiren has absolutely no personality whatsoever. And this wouldn't bother me as much except for two problems
-They already did this with Hit
-It was okay with Hit because the tournament was a standard tournament so him sitting and being silent worked. This is a battle royale. Only showing him standing there every week and doing only one thing every 5 episodes is not the way to build hype

The guideline varies a lot, it just seems like he focuses on the wrong stuff, like how the first part of the Goku vs Hit battle (with Goku fighting in base) was very similar in the anime and manga, down to some shared lines, but then the 2nd part there are only vague similarities, like Hit dodging a Kamehameha at the last moment.

Some of his basic ideas also have been just weak, like making everyone in the U6 tournament aside from Hit fodder compared to Goku and Vegeta. I wonder if he's responsible for most universes being useless right now too.

Goku and Vegeta are from the supposedly second worst universe. As >>161396636 mentioned, people like that are outliers. Look at how all the other universes are supposedly "better" universes and yet all their fighters are weak as heck.

And even then, even if Goku and Vegeta are God-tier they've met their matches on various people from other universes like Toppo, Jiren and Hit. Others like Cabba or Frost are already stronger than everyone else on Earth besides the God-level people like Goku, Vegeta and Frieza and maybe 17. I feel it is balanced. There's so much powerlevels can go up to when Zen-O and the Angels and the GoD are already there and one's of DB core messages has always been "there's always someone stronger out there".
