Iirc, the anime skipped the first vol and stopped at the 12th. So vol 2-12. It also skipped lots of good shit in these volumes so in truth it's more like 6 or 7 volumes at most that have been adapted.

The manga is 25 volumes long and among these only 3 or 4 are bad or meh (the angel stuff), so that's 21 volumes worth of good content, and if you take out the anime parts, 15 more volumes worth reading.

GTO and Lupin III were the first two anime/manga I ever seriously pursued and I love them dearly to this day. Anime Insider was a pretty good magazine.
