is /a/ supporting the ariadubon kickstarter?
>>161370519
No. If they had any faith in their dub at all it would have been the distributors footing the bill. I actually like dubs but this isn't how business should work
>>161370519
I might since they are also making a BD release along with the dub.
>>161371219
There already is BD's.
I wouldn't mind an Italian dub
No.
Name one legitimate reason why people can't watch subbed anime.
>>161371273
Aren't those bad upscales?
>>161371579
Some people get a better experience with dubbed anime.
>>161370519
>dubs
Just bloating the filesize
>kikestarter
nothing good ever came from giving my money
I just want redone blurays. A series like Aria really deserves it. Neo Venezia would be so dope in HD.
>>161371579
What if someone is blind?
>>161371335
Italians got a dub already
>>161375938
Braille subs
>>161374591
I rather have an entire remake if I'm being honest. Maybe make the artstyle a bit more like the original and give it to a competent director. I still really do enjoy Aria and the its world.
>>161375938
they could always start driving cars instead
>>161371646
Yes, so? Do you think the dubbed release is going to magically create more pixels out of nothing?
>>161376241
How is it? I don't know Italian but if I were to watch Aria in a language other than Japanese this should be it. I had fun watching Lupin in Italian. And I still want to get a Portuguese dub of Michiko To Hacchin.
>>161371579
Someone has different tastes than you.
Fuck off and kill yourslef.
>>161371579
Young children will have a hard time reading quickly enough. Dubs are useful for kodomo shows being brought over to other countries. That's the only reason I can think of.
>losing HAHI
>losing KINSHI
>losing DEKKAI
>>161370519
>is /a/ supporting the aria dub on kickstarter?
Nein
>>161380849
>Young children will have a hard time reading quickly enough
But young children will only watch children's anime. They might as-well not watch anything and not miss out. If I'm being honest I feel like you are vastly underestimating what children can and can't do. Text appears on screen all the time even in dubs.
>>161371335
>>161376241
Kinda felt weird when I first realized that they are canonically speaking italian in the series.
Crowdfunding leaves a bad taste in my mouth these days.
>>161381048
>But young children will only watch children's anime.
Yeah, that's why I said specifically for kodomo.
>If I'm being honest I feel like you are vastly underestimating what children can and can't do.
That's entirely possible. When I was in school I remember other kids reading aggravatingly slow as far as fifth grade, but that's just my own experience. I don't spend any time around kids nowadays so maybe I'd be surprised.
In either case I don't think there's really any reason for the average adult to need a dub.
>>161374591
It's impossible, unless you redraw everything from scratch.
If /a/ never supports anything to begin with.
Why would we pay.
>>161383292
Lots of people on /a/ buy stuff, just not BDs because who the fuck wants to spend money on those.
>>161383640
Ill buy the R1 releases usually but fucking Japanese prices are retarded
>>161371579
Dubs are only good for little kids who struggle to read.
