Put on your headphones and record yourself singing Butter-Fly. Let's aim for at least 10 submissions by September.

I'd rather sing Love Serenade, but this is good too

Oh yeah, thank you to the two who submitted theirs already.

For those of you still practicing or have yet to start, I look forward to hearing what you got. If you're low on confidence, please don't listen to your recordings too much. Don't want to talk yourself out of submitting it when it's probably fine.

Great song, but I don't think I'd have the patience to mix it. If you ever want to tackle it though, I'd participate.
>>
>full version
why?
>>
>>161338603
Because it's pretty easy, and it's not that long.

You're also welcome to sing part of it if you feel that the full version is a bit much. I recommend singing at least the part that's after the guitar solo (lines 49-66 in the pastebin lyrics), to help end it on a strong note.
>>
I'll participate though maybe using shit voice recorder from my phone.
>>
Bump.
Really hoping this gets submissions. Wanted to get this to work since 3 years ago and got a whole 4 submissions myself (including my own).
>>
I think I can give this a go.

What program should I download to record myself on?

That would be great.

>>161339057
Someone else took a crack at it in 2016, but they might've ran into the same problem, because they never uploaded it to their channel.

Do you still have those submissions, by any chance?

>>161339318
Audacity is what I'd recommend. Pretty intuitive, just hit that record button, sing, and export the audio (under File) when you're done.
>>
>>161339476
How do I record it? using the instrumental? or my own voice?
>>
>>161339476
I can check my mails and my a sings folder, give me a moment.
I'll send any I have to you.
>>
>>161339529
or only my own voice?*

Got all three submissions I got still lying around, sending them over to you.

God, finally this is going to get to fruition. Took way too long.

I started work on mixing Brave Heart back when I first tried getting this to work. That also could have been nice.
Unfortunately went with as few submissions as Butterfly.

The way I normally do it is I put on headphones and record myself singing along to the vocal version, with the lyrics in front of me. Makes it easy to catch any slip ups, and I was never any good at karaoke.

Your recording should just be your voice, no background music.

Received. Thank you!

Good weekend for /a/ sings, the Cromartie High one was a lot of fun
>>
>>161340189
We'll definitely need some weeks of no /a/ get-together like a draw or sing after this week.

What's being done for Cromartie High is impressive, to say the least.
