so I just finished watching Owari s2, and it was reall good.

But I guess I don't get the part about Araragi "saving himself" when he saves Oshino - surely, he saved her because he saw her as an independent being, worthy of having her own life? once again, it was a selfless act that put him in danger for the sake of another.

then the lines about leaving behind his adolescence, that's just because he's graduating and stuff, right? Because it doesn't make much sense that dealing with Ougi was analogous to resolving his adolescent hangups. I don't see being self-critical as an "adolescent" thing, if anything it's something young people lack.

And in the end, he didn't "learn to save himself" or anything. At most he admitted his subconscious worries, and resolved himself to either set them aside or actually address them, but he's still as selfless as ever. That's the whole point of the ending scene - he wouldn't be Araragi Koyomi if he didn't help out a girl in distress.

Again, I really liked it, great production value as always, tied up the loose ends very well, good to see more growth from Nadeko and Tsuhiki, it's just the ending themes that I don't think I understand.

I like Kanbaru the most.
