Honestly this ep was pretty disappointing, and maybe the negativity's gotten to me, but I kinda started wondering why I'm still liking and watching this show. What was the point of Magane stealing Hangaku? We never even got cleared up why she was a curse. I realize it might be refreshing for some but Hikayu getting Yuya and Sho to just explain their MISUNDERSTANDINGS out felt rather anticlimactic. Maybe I was hyping up their fight too much in my head, but it didn't deliver as great. And Blitz switching sides so easily also feels weird. Alice doing so is more reasonable because we saw her growth as a character. But Blitz has always been with hime. And the two weak break certainly didn't help, and only killed off the momentum. It's all pretty disappointing and a real shame because the characters are pretty likeable.

I got that he was some sort of traumatized beta guy because he didn't help a friend who was on a sudoku path but now they are trying to pull a Shiro on him of hollow and ideals or what? I feel like I'm missing something here.

So, am I the only one who finds it garbage that Magane's change of heart just sort of happens? It's played like this is the sort of person she always was only now it happens to coincide with the protagonists' goals, but there is a clear change in her demeanor and even her perspective. She uses the pyrite as a symbol for a change in perceived value and for making something real from that which others perceive to be worthless, but this is the same character who bought a high-rise condo and took a bath in money. The fact that she's actually not trying to provoke or antagonize soda into doing what she wants and rather tries to reason with him and make him understand her position is already a big enough change.

I'm not a shark fan, but would it have really killed them to dedicate some time to actually developing her character?
