Why did comedy anime peak so early?

yatsura's comedy is pretty dated. I couldn't agree with any kind of "peak" for comedy in anime. up to this very season with guruguru and aho girl there's usually something good and has been for a couple of decades.

As if anybody here knows shit about comedy anime.

I dislike this guy making daily UY threads. But I do have to point out that it's kind of the anti-harem. It's what most people these days want. A super lecherous MC who isn't shy or sexually neutered at all. A ton of outgoing hot girls. And some real good dramatic episodes and movies that you don't see coming.

I do think Saber Marionette J is the best at countering harem cliches though.

We watch the anime, which improves on her manga most of the time. Except Ranma after season 2 and pretty much all of Inu Yasha. Those were horrible even in the anime.

This show is a perfect example of the anime improving on the original source.

IMO the really ran put of steam in the last stretch of episodes. They're mostly stories they really should have adapted earlier on in the show.

Urusei Yatsura is still fresh because of the talented people working on it and the many times they decided just go crazy with the show and his elements.

There's tons of slapstick, cameos, wild scenes, funny and memorable characters.
