I think that's the actual thing with Kirei.
He has no idea what he wants out of life. He looked for something to care for but he never found it. All he can do is loosely follow the ideologies associated with his line of work and revel in the one thing that he finds abstraction in, which is in suffering and evil.

In all 3 routes his goal boils down to the same: to bring about destruction from the Grail for his own amusement, and there's little more to it than that. Only difference is that in HF the circumstances have his goal also line up with his priestly ideology in not allowing angry manjew to be aborted.
So yeah, he literally just goes with the flow.

It's one of the ugliest armors in the entire series. There are more spikes in it than in most 14 year old's sanic OCs and it's colored entirely red and black to boot. They couldn't even bother making it practical since it leaves his vital organs, the most important areas other than the head, completely uncovered. Good armor design is at least somewhat realistic and while it should have some flair to distinguish it from the rest it should be done in moderation. I think Gil's armor is probably the best one in the series. Could use a helmet though, but I guess he doesn't want to ruin his hairstyle.

It's confirmed that it's actually Extra Archer - having gone on a mission to eliminate Kiara Sessyoin, and after killing her entire cult she simply smirks at him calls him a monster for killing all those 'innocent' people, and jumps off the building to take her own life instead of letting him take hers. This is a multimedia fucking franchise. The main characters are never the same, but across all of them, the only constant is Gill jobbing all the same. I wouldn't even mind if they didn't grand stand him every fucking time he shows up on screen. It's literally the worst possible way to write a villain. -gutted Rider and "killed" Zouken

in Hollow,

-Saber Vs. Archer. Scenario was very unique and not indicative of either's aptitudes. She can't move much cause he's aiming for Shirou the whole time, but she uses a command spell to close the gap.
-Got Frag'd by Bazett, which took god knows how many retries for her to pull off.
