It was something I guess.

I really liked how technology and warfare advanced as the series went though. Mechs at the start of the series were basic bipedals tanks, and by the end they were flying gundams with infinite energy generators and shit, like the difference between Armored Core 1 and Armore Core 4.

It was ok, I guess.

It was great, but a lot of the greatness had to do with the reactions on /a/ during the time it aired, the content generated thanks to it, and so on. Just watching it by yourself, you might not feel the same about it as we oldfags. It's still worth watching in any case, especially with S3 on the horizon.
