This will probably be followed up on closer to the end. The reason why the chapters are out of temporal order must be so that the series can be easily wrapped up on short notice or padded out as much as needed, since the seeds of development and even the ending are already out.

Yeah, but I wouldn't put too much stock in the placement of seasons since there might have been multiple winters for instance and the pool chapters from last month were clearly in the summer too. Plus they've had a birthday and the placement of their seats in the classroom has sometimes been inconsistent even after they switched them.
