I've watched the first season and im halfway through the second, should i start the third season and watch the ova or should i read the manga up until the start of the third season. Is reading the manga worth it or is it fine to just watch the third season

I watched first two seasons, the ova and season 3 last, everything made sense apart from new characters that you just have to accept are there now. (Only like 2 or 3)
