End of Volume 1 was literally the perfect place to end it. Dedicating the whole season the first volume meant no rushing something that could have turned out even worse. Imagine how much would have to be cut just to put in volume 2 and then have it end on an even worse cliffhanger.
Despite the studio having basically no budget/time they tried to give the best adaption they could

Wrong, the last episode introduced a new character with no explanation, leading the viewers to believe that the whole thing they watched was pointless since lol another saint appeared. 2nd volume has an explanation of Kyouma factions, battle against Tgurneu and return of the rabbit in the epilogue. It explains the twist of the first volume and expands on it.

I also never said anything about rushing, I said it would be better as a 2 cour series with 2 volumes animated.

Took a quick look at volume 1 and 2 again. Anime seems to use a bit of ch1 of volume 2 since volume 1 ending ends right at Rolona appearing. Like I said it was only gonna get one cour and there was no better place to end it. Explaining any more would have killed the interest in the "read the light novel" which the anime is the advertisement for and would add too much and kill the vibe volume 1 sets up

the series went to shit when it was revealed that he was the traitor all along but he didnt know about it so whatever. Fucking ruined everything fun about the series.

There are two traitors. Bunny is the first one but then another saint shows up so they are 8 again, back to square one. In like volume 6 i think it comes out that red hair here was the fig demon's insider all along without knowing anything about it. Such a waste of time.
