Huh, that is an interesting way of thinking of it, i thought the ending was an asspull and very anti-climatic.

I thought the whole point of the ending was going to be to learn to grow up and accept that the old man was dead and the girl was moving away, instead of that they deus ex machina their way into solving both of those things without learning anything.
