Shinobu's nice and all (I shouldn't even have to say that but you guys get asshurt whenever someone doesn't praise everything about her) but comparitively (emphasis on that word) speaking her dialogue/banter isn't great, she's at her best when partially in the background to frame the rest of the story but not intruding on the actually fun characters directing where things go.

Normalfags saw "depth" in her simplistic character and started sperging about her all around. I remember the time when crabfags' whining about her not getting screentime was present in every goddamn thread.

I recently watched Heavy Metal L-Gaim and it had a character which was like this, doing adorable things in the background, donig something meaningful every once in a while and mostly providing emotional support for the tanned harem MC. Needless to say she was the indisputed best girl.
