Why does /a/ like JCs in anime so much?

They remind me of my youth

I like JCs but hate the two you posted in particular. Fushimi is a fucking fanfic-level writer and I have no idea how he gets his works adapted or even published.

The designs are overdone anyway. I know that "forced" is a meme and overused but I really would call them "forced character designs" as if to check as many otaku appeal boxes as possible.

They're an example of their medium. Overdone maybe. That's opinion. I think they are adorable in my own. Beautifully overdone, cheesy, and immensely cute. They have a life in them through the expressions of their makers.
