Even when speccing my dudes for agility+damage with damage/crit stickers, running in circles waiting for them to use a special so I can hit them once and knock off a sliver of their health lest they take off a quarter of mine in one hit gets old quick.

Remember furi? That was a pretty cool game where the bosses took hitstun from your melee attacks but evaded or blocked them frequently instead of sitting there and then smacking you for 1/2 your health with a special move that the player can only use once in a blue moon. Sure boss specials have shit framedata but I can think of a couple (index's sheol fear or whatever) that are fucking stupid as hell.

It's not difficult but it isn't fun or even that intuitive either. You frequently compare this game to dark souls but in dark souls the boss either has EXTREMELY laggy moves or takes hitstun from heavier hits, allowing you to combo them effectively until your own stamina runs out.

He's a fucking psychopath.

Cool, touman may be stronk but he certainly can't get in "half his combo" unless the person you are fighting is izzard using the golden gun move that puts him into lag for a solid ten seconds, or biribiri using railgun. Many of the more annoying bosses are annoying because they have quick moves that also hit like a truck.

Touma is basically a younger and with some more morals Elmer from Baccano. I actually like him a lot for that, I enjoy seeing the extents they go to so someone can keep a genuine smile on their faces.

Also, I wasn't trying to saying that Touma has a lot of morals or anything, it's just that I was comparing him to Elmer, who walked in two thugs beating a girl and casually said they should smile more while beating her because the people being beaten usually hates it, so at least they should be enjoying themselves. Touma's amorality isn'tthat extreme.

Touma is honestly fucking scary. The guy will take advice on the situation, but at the end of the day he will always see the path he chose as absolute. He will actively crush the hopes and dreams of others to get the outcome he wants. He will defy logic and common sense on a fucking whim. He's been doing that to save people, but we have seen him basically torture dozens of people in the crossover as means to an end. I actually really enjoy it because even though he acts like one, he is definitely not a hero. As Aiwass deduced, the boy just doesn't give a fuck. Seeing people start to understand that and get him off that pedestal he doesn't even want to be on would be great though.

The difference between somebody like Kamijou and an actual good character is basically what you said about how he'll just save them and play the forgive and forget game like nothing happened while somebody like Kuroko would definitely save somebody who wronged her as shown many times but will make them pay for their actions. Kamijou will do the bare minimum so that most people will be happy with his choice.

In Railgun, Kuroko found one of Mikoto's coins at the 10,032nd experiment site. It was implied that she considers the possibility of Mikoto's involvement but I think she keeps the coin and does not allow other investigators to see it.
Not that this detracts from the value of the character. It isn't like a cop is going to admit that he's covering for a suspect just because the suspect is a friend.

I wonder how Touma would take something like that. Would he find a renewed determination to continue fighting for her memory, or would he just be consumed with an ungodly amount of rage and lash out at whoever caused the situation? I did say most of them, not all. And i also don't see her dying for a couple of reasons. For one, railgun sales would probably plummet. She's also way too popular to just get killed off, though it could happen at the end. There's also the fact taht Kamachi doesn't seem to like killing off even minor/side characters too often, let alone main ones. There's also the fact that she has waay too much buildup lately, so it wouldn't make sense to just kill her off. Seeing how Index hasn't had much focus on in way too long, i'd say she's a prime candidate in someone who might die. Though there are also reasons to think she might not.
