Try being built up as a powerful force for over 10 years and hundreds of chapters, and then in a span of a single arc and less than 50 chapters be defeated 4 times, get body swapped into a woman, get laughed at by the character you swore to capture, have a party with him and one of the guys you jobbed to and then watch them both sail away.

Actually, the VD project as a whole basically got the lukewarm reception that it deserved.

Bhikkuni (or whatever) was basically your generic all-girls battle story, complete with stupid drama. The designs were pretty good, but not Yaegashi Nan. The THICC waists on the models are a nice change of pace, though. Gameplay wise, it's slower than SK, which isn't a good thing. Unlike Mermaid, it feels that it was held back by a lack of ambition in the planning, rather than a botched execution.

Siren had really underwhelming art. Also, one of the things that I really disliked about VD was its tendency to make the girls who are actually on-screen for the fights masculine, while the cute girls turn into weapons. That's a big flaw in the premise.
