The animation (or lack thereof) is one of the only things holding me back back from saying that Owari 2 was excellent. Granted, Ougi Dark was far superior to the other two arcs, but it was still held back by its animation. I know that Shaft occasionally likes to use CGI for artsy reasons, but the scene where the desks and chairs were being pulled into the darkness just looked really cheap.

And that's why I feel weird. Don't get me wrong, the ending was perfect, but it felt a bit anti-climatic. I think this was because we didn't get the sort of sustained build-up one normally gets to a finale of that calibre since Owari 2 was relatively short and the series has been going on for so long with large gaps between the iterations.

Them being on the opposite poles is different from them not being able to enter the barrier. The barrier thing is similar to what Oshino&Gaen creates.The only difference is that Ougi's barrier is big&powerful. It it was a snail then Gaen would still be lost after entering the town. Kisshot has overwhelming power, and the only way to beat that is with being clever. Gaen would've been destroyed for sure if she messed up Koyomi's resurrection. How does it feel to know that Nisio doesn't give a rat's ass about the show's writing anymore and just wants to pad out this garbage for as long as he likes so long as he's getting a fat paycheck at the end of the month? I think the point where he officially stopped caring was probably after Monogatari S2.

Everything we've gotten out of this series since then has been mediocre garbage. I don't know how anybody has the patience for this show anymore when they use the same conversational loops every_single_fucking_episode and take hours to explain something that could've easily been done in less than 5 minutes.

This show is the epitome of a simple story told in the most complex way possible, which is to say it formerly stradled the line of being pretentious and being somewhat meangingful, but has completely thrown itself off the deep end with the last 3 -gatari's we've gotten since 2013. Anybody who defends this shit is a closet brainlet trying to inflate their double digit IQ in favor of spouting 2DEEP4U bullshit in these threads.

You ego-stroking psuedo-intellectuals need to jump off a fucking cliff. Whenever your intellectual peñor is in need of a rough jerking, Nisio rubs hands together in sheer money-grubbing glee and gets ready to loosen his asshole along with your wallets.
