It's an issue of scene order here. Sieg's scenes are slow and I'm not particularly interested in them, but this is made all the more noticeable because of their place in the episode. As in, Semiramis summons a giant floating fortress, the tension is building up, and suddenly we get a quiet slow scene with Sieg. It's the same at the end. Vlad gives his speech, the servants charge out to fight, AND we get a slow scene with Sieg. It has a way of draining the tension that's just no good. The same thing happened at the end of episode 5.

There's a part in the story later on where she has a chat with Sieg and Astolfo, and they ask her how she feels about other people. She straight up says she hates everyone and even goes into detail why she hates everyone. Part of her character is coming to realize her feelings of anger and hatred are misplaced and that she actually cares for others more than she's allowed herself to care. Her obsession with violence is a result of rejecting everyone around her.
