Not really. WaSuYu was a 8 chapters long LN that started 6 months before YuYuYu started airing back in 2014.

S2 has 12 episodes. Episodes 1-6 are referred as "Washio Sumi's Chapter" and it adapts the whole LN but with some changes. Episode 7-12 are referred as "Heroes' Chapter" and they are and actual direct sequel of the first anime and they are tecnically (according to Takahiro himself) Episode 13 of the anime.
