The arrow with GE was weird. It feels like Araki came up with Requiem, realised Gold Experience was already stabbed, so came up with a weird excuse and forgot to tell anyone. The arrow that grants Requiem is drawn differently to the other 5 even when they're all together in the same panel, and Giorno has one line mentioning it looking slightly different when Polnareff first sends them pics of it online which implies it might be the only arrow capable of it but then it's never elaborated on. It really does feel like he just forgot to actually say 'yeah this arrow is different' because he liked the idea too much to drop it. And 7 didn't really have many plot holes but it did have a lot of dropped elements or ones that just fizzle out because Araki didn't know or care what he was doing with them.

Surprisingly Part 8 doesn't have as many plot holes as you'd think. I was confused as fuck on a reread but looking closer into it and also comparing it to the original Japanese there's very few inconsistencies outside of how long it's fucking been since it started. Some things just seem inconsistent at first because there's been like two or three years between them being mentioned and Araki describes them in different ways now or whatever. Only ones that really pop out at me still is Norisuke saying Josuke's memories will never return but later on saying that he took Josuke in because he has hopes his memories will return and why literally everyone BUT Damo recognised Josuke as Josefumi and/or Kira when Damo was the one investigating them for ages and who was all up in their faces on the day they died.

Oh yeah the photo is weird. Considering everything she said besides Josuke being Josefumi was disproven literally the very next arc I'm guessing she's a crazy stalker or stuff went down during the 3 days between Kira dying and Josuke waking up, which possibly involves flashback man considering the timing. I find it highly unlikely that Araki would introduce Karera and a ton of plot points like that only to drop them so suddenly. He's notorious for it but that's too much and too soon for even him, especially considering how long he's been working on and planning JJL and how important those inconsistent elements are. I'm certain there's more to it that we just don't know currently.

I liked it.
Jobin's always been fascinating because he always appears to be on his back foot and his charisma turn when persuading Dolomite was a nice touch but the line was a good throwback that he's been playing the family too.
Considering it just comes after the Mother and Meeting chapter where he's happily bouncing about pancakes being oblivious to Kaato and his dad is pretty neat.
Even the side note of him not understanding about Yasuho/Joshu (If he meant girlfriend as in relationship) also shows that he doesn't know anything himself and is probably being string pulled by everyone himself despite thinking he's in charge. (See the way Aishou talks to him, the gofer comment, the fact he couldn't figure out S&W)
So he's pretty interesting.

Also you have to think about the interactions, I think in EoH hero/villain teams mostly just had them say passive-aggressive shit to each other. If we had our own /a/ vidya I think we'd have to expand on that immensely. Can't do much with Diavolo since I guess he'd just act insane but then again I don't know what Doppio would do. I'm not sure if frenemy teams should be written on good terms since they're fighting together or just have them with a "resentful teamwork" kind of trope.
