Yaoyorozu, the studio that made Kemono friends. Naturally, they don't have their own building. They have an office in a normal apartment in Nakano, Tokyo.

Toei earned 2.3$ Billion last year, they're the only billionaire in anime industry, they have 5 star hotels, that old building look artistic inside, only two other anime studios became hectomillionaire last year, other remaining anime studios are poorfags including Shaft and A1, Ghibli and TMS are going downhill, and other anime studios look like small apartments except Toei and Sunrise.

I'd be impossible to script the amount of facial animation in ME due to the huge amount of dialog from story branching. But their engine was FUBAR.

>If you’re a Japanese person, of either sex, there’s a really good chance that when you finish technical school or whatever cruddy college you went to, that you’ll wind up spending 12 to 15 hours a day in a cramped office pushing a mouse. Your overbearing boss will sit behind you, watching your computer screen, micromanaging your every motion. In Japan, that’s called “leadership.” And you’ll do that for, oh, about 50 years.

>But if you’re a woman, you’ve seen this vision: twice a day, you’re packed onto a train so crowded you can’t move your arms. You’re literally lifted off your feet and smashed against the window in the insane torture that is Japanese commuting. You can smell the breakfast and sweat of ten other people in every breath you take. And then as the train grinds over a small bridge, you catch a brief image of a park slatted with sunlight, colorful strollers around a play area, children on swings in the fresh air, and mothers smiling and drinking coffee. Then your train rushes into a tunnel and everything goes dark. The next day, and every day after, you try to catch one more glimpse of that shining park.

>So maybe a plan starts to dawn on you. Maybe it’s not even a conscious plan, but if you have a kid, you know that right away you’d get 14 weeks off. After that, well, your salary is so low that you and your husband would have to agree it’d be cheaper for you to stay home than to pay for child care. Congratulations, you just won a colorful stroller and a pass to Sunshine Park, at least for a few years. Later, well sure, you’ll have to go back to work. Sorry, just kidding. I mean, have another kid.

>Maybe that’s the reason the Japanese birth rate is so low—-because Japanese men understand this. And then there’s you, the fresh-faced foreigner who thinks the game is to try to bag a bunch of birds. That’s not the game Japanese women are playing. Their goal is to bag a husband.

The difference is that the sponsors for anime like One Piece give them pennies and because of that they are animated on thelir studio in the Philippines. Meanwhile Precure looks good because they have the McDonald buxs.

No, that anon is correct. Old Toei/Miyazki movies still look nothing like an actual competent Disney movie. And that is purely talking artstyle and animation. Not even the story which despite being butchered with insert-songs and made pg still shits all over your Japanese knock-off. I love Japanese animation and anime in general. But old movies lacked shading. They simply can't compete. The golden age of anime is late 90s early 00s.

It's usually in one's financial self interest to bring in your own income. That's why rising economic conditions (to an extent) result in lowering birthrates over time. Because women have to choose between being a mother and thusly being completely dependent on a man for life, or having (some degree of) control of their own money and their own future.

The first world isn't wealthy enough anymore to be able to afford a family, but we're also not poor enough to literally NEED a family to survive. Pretty shitty.

>I don't know if that would help this specific case

It's not a shortage of resources: it's a shortage of MONEY. There is no reason we can't all have a guarantee of a good, quality, safe, life in these high-tech, first world societies.

The focus of our civilizations for the last 100 years should have been on creating a global system that could provide sustainable resources and safety to the third world, instead of letting them wallow in poverty while we fight wars against each other for the capitalist elite. But that hasn't happened, and there's no reason for it.

There's one reason that everyone doesn't live that way and that's the supply of intelligent, skilled people to build and maintain these systems and in some cases the mechanisms to find or put them in the right places. That's a hard problem to solve and certainly not something I could imagine being solved in 100 years.

Many of the major wars last century were ideological as much as they were financial. It's not clear how we'd manage a world government or if it's even possible, if that's what you're getting at.
>>

The Japanese really don't seem to mind when things are a bit worn or just plain dirty. That's something I noticed when I was there this spring. Maybe I'm just so used to looking at my own shitty town that I don't notice it at home though.
>>
>>161074762

Things are always clean and well maintained even if they're warn and old. It's nice.
>>
>>161074351
Good luck with that. High and mid-tier societies have already arisen everywhere they ever had potential to, for genetic reasons. In every other case, even if you gave a population with an average of 70 IQ points an industrial society, they would quickly ruin it by mismanagement. That's not to say they are worthless, maybe our kind of society is even desirable long-term, but there sure is a difference between understanding not to go there and just not having the means to.
>>
>>161074703
Unique peoples should be allowed to govern themselves. But until we get all of humanity out of the "Holy shit what am I going to do to keep myself alive" survival mode, no governmental or social system is going to function well for long. Communism and capitalism are both failing under the same problem: oversupply of human resources; majority of wealth gets concentrated at the top. The rich and powerful simply don't require the number of people that exist. The third world was a useless oversupply of human resources 50 years ago. And now the first world middle class is useless to them. Our quality of life is not declining "by accident."
>>
>>161074824
Yeah I kind of like it. Makes it look like a less unnatural environment.
>>
>>161074915
People don't need to have modern, first world lifestyles to be happy. If they want that and are capable of doing it themselves in a way that is sustainable, then that's fine. But essentially what 99% of the human population wants is to be safe, fed, and housed for life. And we don't have that. Even in the first world, our lives are governed by the fear "What am I going to do for work? Will there be a place for me? Will I be able to afford to live? What am I going to have to do to afford to live?"

None of that needs to be in our lives. Even the most useless, worthless deadbeat should be given a place to sleep and some food to eat. There are plenty of resources for that to be possible. The problem is that there is no way to profit from keeping everybody safe and fed.
>>
>>161074924

Yes. Aldous Huxley was predicting the problem of overpopulation 70 years ago and thought it would lead to totalitarianism.

We've done pretty well at lifting counties out of absolute poverty but relative inequality hasn't improved. Perhaps there's something natural about that but I'm still nervous about it being so arbitrary and unmanaged.

Overpopulation is a massive problem. It's why I don't quite understand arguments against Japan's population declining. Of course that needs to be managed carefully but that seems like the best alternative. It's not clear to me why other countries aren't seeing the same.

>We've done pretty well at lifting counties out of absolute poverty

You need to understand that there is no "we" in these societies. There are deep and strict divides, predominantly class and income based (and not racially or sexually based as the mainstream elitist agenda promotes). So you, you father, your grandfather, had nothing to do with the efforts to "help" the third world. Those efforts were a result of programs initiated by the elite, and the intention was not to create a nation of people with the sovereignty and independence to perhaps oppose them in the future. The goal was to keep the third world just, just above mass starvation, and that has been accomplished. I recommend a series of documentaries on the World Bank and IMF done by John Pilger. They're getting long in the tooth, but still do a very good job of demonstrating that the elitist agenda was never to help the third world. Just as mass immigration is not being done to help them, today.

Overpopulation IS a problem, but it's not the predominant issue right now. Create the means for retirement through savings in the third world, and their population growth will slow.

>Arguments against population decline in the first world
It's not in the elite's interest to manage a slow and safe population decline (resulting in high wages) in the first world. It's better for them to exploit this situation and impoverish those peoples through third world immigration. The first world middle class becomes a stateless people, and the first world turns into a source of cheap labor like India and China.
>>
I've always had problems with the idea of small elites "them's" of all types that control things and lead things to be a certain way. It seems completely preposterous that any small group could be intelligent enough to design a plan such that things turned out as the intended in such a vast complex system with so many variables involved some of which aren't even known or understood. Those people might be more powerful and wealthy than everyone else but they certainly aren't omnipotent or super intelligent. Watch those documentaries by John Pilger. There is a "secret elite" in western societies that commands, and has commanded, absolutely HUGE influence and control over all major institutions. This is the "class" of people who orchestrated JFK's assassination, and the coverup. They've also been behind the popularization of the modern concepts conspiracy theorist, Illuminati, Satanic pedophile cults, etc, as a foil against the populations becoming aware of their existence. Consider, however, American culture circa the 1800's, at the height of jurassic capitalism: everybody knew the rockefellers controlled the government.

To recognize something, one need to cognize it before. I think you overestimate Mickey's popularity outside US. That three-circle form, or even his face, looks more like a stamp or a logo for studio Disney. Many know TOEI logo, but only those who watched Puss in Boots can actually recognize the cat.

I'm saying that Disney has a lot of better characters that don't need to be force-fed to everyone from infancy.
