Dragon Ball Z easily in the 90s due to spending each month purchasing the Funimation tapes to find out what happens next all the way til the end of Buu Saga.

Only got into a few of the episodes of GT but dropped it because I realized they skipped the first 3rd of the series to get to the more serious plotlines.

I just realized that before Super and GT, the last time the Pilaf Gang ever showed up was when they were launched off the ship by King Piccolo. It always that was the turning point for the actual series, like how people use Z as the line of demarcation to show that the series is not about panty jokes anymore and is more about fighting. Granted the tournament arcs didn't have the pilaf gang, and the Red Ribbon arc had Tao who was the first really evil villain, but the Pilaf Gang was always there to provide the series a bit of levity and act like the Team Rocket. It's just really weird that they're so unceremoniously written off of after that, I find that even weirder than Launch being written off the series actually.

On a side note, I recently began watching Urusei Yatsura. At first I thought it wasn't that great but decided to keep going for the hell of it and so far it's gotten better. Honestly, it even seems kind of redpilled in some ways.
