Why is there no Franken Fran anime?

Nobody will touch this besides Madhouse.

There is, but we didn't like it, so we collectively decided to delete all traces of it on the English-speaking internet. You can still find shitty raws if you use Chinese or Japanese search engines.

Madhouse is probably the only studio that could do it right.

With amount of gore from source material the adaptation would be heavily censored. And it's doubtful if this theme is going to make a big sales in Japan.
