I consider myself to have a soft heart for this kind of stuff, and yet the deaths in EoE didnt affect me much.
Im not sure how to explain, but it found their deaths... fitting, and with closure. They were finally free from the madness and suffering they were on. (ignoring the instrumentality, though).
