"I dislike this anime."
"Why?"
"The pacing is bad."
"I dislike this anime."
"Why?"
"It's in Japanese."

Fuck those people. Toriko was great!
> caring about what others like or dislike
Its like you hate youself.
>>160961391
>people
Come on. You're giving them too much credit.
>>160961318
But that's totally true of Log Horizon S2.
Bad pacing and directing ruined a fun show.
>>160961318
That's a legitimate complaint though. If someone's not already sold on a series, something exciting has to happen or they're gonna drop it and not get the appeal.
Why are you using meme inverted commas?
>>160961512
Because the thread is meme inverted comma related
>i dislike this anime
>why
>it's a anime
>>160961813
That's a solid reason though.
>>160961318
And that is unreasonable why exactly?
>>160961318
That's a pretty valid complaint though. Take any interesting concept and drag it out long enough people will get bored.
Aria's adaptation is a perfect example (though the mediocre VAs, directing, and art didn't help).

"I dislike this anime."
"Why?"
"I can't understand it."
Another example of bad pacing is in lots of long running shounen series. Nothing much happens in any particular episode, but sometimes cool things happen over story arcs. If they compressed the content, the shows would be exciting

some guy told me recently, that pacing in Nana to Kaoru is bad, but he didn't "read" it, just look at pictures
>>160961318
Are we no longer permitted to make legitimate criticisms, or something?
>>160961318
"I dislike this anime."
"Why?"
"My favourite girl didn't win"
>>160964107
That says nothing about the quality of the work, but it's still a perfectly valid basis for a personal opinion.
"I dislike this anime."
"Why?"
"It's pretentious."
