I find they both did it pretty alright.
Tamers seemed more about accepting their own faults or just actually developing as characters and both figuratively and literally bonding with there Digimon.

Frontier was about becoming someone or thing else to, again, both figurative and literally, change your self for the better in the long run.
I honestly found it pretty interesting when Takuya into a digimon when he went back to the Human world. I don't know if it was explained as just Ophanimon just fucking with him to teach him running away isn't the answer or some side effect of the spirit evolution. I honestly wish It had happened to the others as well.

I think I like Hunter and Appmon more for easy accessibility and travel. Just hold up your digivice, say a word and then your in the digital world.

This fourth series of digimon can be considered one of the weaker series although it is still a good series for children. One of the things to talk about this season is that the kids themselves turn into digimons and have no partners, which was refreshing, and they really fought not only gave orders (which made several villains wonder why they fought for a world they were not of them) and I found the design of legendary warriors very cool and I liked the protagonists that even though they were not so developed their traumas compared to other series still matured and the one who owned the best story for me was that of the twins, that whole part of him as evil and its story was quite touching clear that the series has some flaws as it has many episode fillers and episodic, such as an entire episode to clear a train, the holy warrior villains taking out Mercuremon no threat, even the arc of the royal knigth even being repetitive I Cherubimon and Lucemon were good villains, the first being with a good history and menacing and the second one of the best and most powerful villains of the franchise,

I liked the concept of digi-code in which the areas were absorbed, the history has logic with a progression without holes of script, different from Adventure 01 in That the villains only appear one after the other without any connection between them, another defect is that by taking Takuya and Koji the others stop to gain evolutions, these two have two evolutions more than the rest, all series always focus more on the protagonist and the anti-social boy, this one was the most exaggerated, the others Children have become practically cheerleaders in the middle of the series, I missed a real world arc that in other series for me was always one of the best parts, this series tries very much to want to be an adventure 2.0. However I quite liked her, the characters and their story, of course not one of the best still worth seeing, she is better than Adventure 02, and of course KaiserLeomon had to die to keep the tradition.

After every boring movie i got excited for the next one because of their evil cliff hanger sceme, but it's the biggets shit.
Letting Gennai transform into the Digi Emperor for no reason other then getting fans hyped and ending on a fight between Jesmon and Alphamon was the biggest middlefinger to fans i've seen in a while.
I watched the 4. movie with friends and everyone was hyped to finally see action in the digiworld, but no, they make a picknick for like 30 minutes, then machinedramon shows up, but instead of being the calculating mastermind he was in the show he's just some big evil monster without any lines.
The worst part was when they thought they had to be "mature" for their grown up audience and let Sora get molested, this was actually SAO tier garbage.
They can't even do the figths right, the mega digivolutions have the same animation as the ultimate ones that always came 10 seconds before, so it isn't special at all, sometimes they even forget the music and the fights after are shorter then the transformation.
The next movies will be just as bad, they basically spoiled themselves by using Yggdrasil as the villian (that turned an ally evil) but they probably think nobody even saw Data Squad so who cares right?

They fail on almost every level just to push they shitty SoL "character developement" in our faces that feels like a step back from what the kids already achieved in the show.
I know people kinda like it because it's a "not that bad" nostalgia trip, but taking a great kids show like adventures and going for a more mature audience had such a big potential that it's just sad the coem up with mediocre shit like this.
