What is even the basis for Sasuke and Sakura's relationship?

Hinata was the first person to be nice to Naruto, before even Iruka. She's been good friends with him for a long time too and Naruto was on good terms with Neji. And even that is sort of a stretch.

Meanwhile Sakura is a grown woman and mother and still acts like a lovestruck teenager that just fell in love with the popular guy at school. And Sasuke loves her despite constantly berating her and almost killing her.

Current history book probably say that, Uchiha Madara (Obito) came back and turned some Uchiha clan members evil. Saint Itachi in his kindness and not wanting to see the village harmed killed the evil family members. Unfortunately by the time he killed the very few evil ones Madara had killed the other 99% of the clan. Saint Itachi not wanting to worry the people told the 3rd Hokage to blame the whole thing on Itach so that he could hunt down Madara without other leaf ninja trying to avenge the clan. Tragically he died before completing his mission.
