Marcille in despair arouses me greatly.
I was expecting something more grotesque, to be honest.
>Harpy Imouto vs Laius party
We need some battle theme
>want imouto to be in dragon lady form
>she's a harpy
We waited for days, weeks - an eternity. And we were rewarded with madness.
So it wasn't the method of revival that angered Sureau, but rather Laius being Laius.
Deep down inside, he's still his friend.
Open at your own risk, last page of the chapter.
First Farlyn and now this.
Hey guys, look on the brightside. At least Farlyn on the next vol cover is thicc and has some nice mini-farlyns.
>release in 2 months just in friday 13th
is Kabru smooth-talking, able-bodied Oberstein?
>killed the imouto to save their asses
didnu do nuthin
Kabru had the right idea to be honest, she was pulling a fast one on Laius at the end there.
On the other hand, the fact that she has Farlyn's memories and magic means Farlyn's still in there somewhere, r-right?
To me, any individual with a particular person's memories is that person. That may lead to competition about who is the 'real' person, but that's not my problem.
(it also means that without your memories you are not yourself and if you collect multiple people's memories you are effectively multiple people)
Also, having to wait 'til midOctober
Calm down, even if Farlyn dies again, her soul is still bound to the dungeon, I'm sure the ghosts will keep her safe until Laius defeats the dark elf and put Marcille as the master of the dungeon, thus revive Farlyn as a normal human.
Hope you pre-ordered your summer swimwear edition
>reviving her a second time
I don't even know what to think at this point. Reviving people over and over would make their struggle pointless but the author already cast aside the repercussions of Sureau's fight with Laius so things could either turn out well in the end or this might just be the chapter where all hope for her homecoming is lost and the series permanently takes on a darker path.
Quickest file save I ever made.
talk shit, get slit. Bitch deserved it so no thank yous are necessary
eh, the mangaka's making full use of the dungeon revival aspects, so I don't think the ninjas will be finished. Farlyn... maybe. Probably won't be the last of her if the dark elf needs her as the dragon. I'm going to be that Farlyn will be rescued in the end, anyway.
They'll go back to the surface, get the dwarf girl and others, and head back down for at least one more trek, maybe bring the orcs as well?
Farlyn's considered a monster at this point, yeah? The monster sword was quivering. She looked like she, or whatever was possessing her, was going to kill Laius when he dropped his sword.
I guess thats what she gets for
It really isn't anymore. It used to be the only board I browsed when I got into 4chan at first, nowadays I barely go there unless I'm really bored and find something that interests me in particular.
>have to wait 2 months for the next chapter
Git Gud @ Ninjing like a Superior waifu
I mean, imagine how samurai dude was probably in EXTREME ANGUISH the whole time (mentioned that he barely slept, was not eating well, and I mean look at his face), while Laius was able to talk quite cheerfully about other things. He might be thinking from his attitude that he wasn't taking it to heart as much.
I don't think it's the end of Farlyn because they haven't fully developed her "seeing dead people" thing yet, and the ghosts are really central to the lore. Although Laius was able to sense them when he was suffering from mana sickness.
Right, but the amount of energy required to blast somebody with a lighting bolt would realistically be much higher than the amount of energy involved in a lethal amount of heat. While fire and heat are not the same, fire is much more direct in what it's supposed to accomplish.
Don't worry guys, I got this.
Pretty sure it was confirmed dungeon monsters dont have souls. It more like the scorcerer just planted the dragons consciousness/programming into her through her connection to the dungeon since her body is literally made of dragon meat.
>those fluffy feathers coming out of her shirt
wanna ruffle GONNA RUFFLE
I'm pretty sure that is because the red dragon is an exception. Unlike the other monsters that are just a part of the ecosystem, it takes orders directly from the sorcerer (maybe the harpies too).
They probably revived Farlyn using the dragon's meat because they didn't expect it to have a soul, and her current state occurred because it unexpectedly did have a soul.
Was there ever a doubt about it?
obviously, but they also never considered that there was a risk of soul-mixing.
So, taking bets:
a) It's not the real Farlyn/some kind of clone
b) It's the real Farlyn, and now that she has a non-digested body she can be resurrected free of dark magic bullshit
c) It's the real Farlyn, but Marcille's resurrection spell has effectively cursed her forever, she'll never be normal
this is an evil monster that needs to be put to death
>c) It's the real Farlyn, but Marcille's resurrection spell has effectively cursed her forever, she'll never be normal
I don't think they would put her on the cover if she's forever a monster or dead. >>160919043
It's the real Farlyn, and she's probably under some kind of curse, but I'm sure it'll all get worked out in the end.
Figure she'll be some weird resurrecting abomination for a while, though.
She's got all the powers of a standard Priest, right? Maybe she can pull off some kind of cleansing bullshit.
I'm gonna go with C, Alex
Gives a reason for Laius to traverse further down and face-off against the BBEG - to reverse the curse on Farlyn. Hell, they'll probably kill her first and demand he resurrect her soul
but hey whether or not he can...
>This entire chapter
Fuck. How is the Laius gang even gonna recover?
Also for some reason Dungeon Meshi reminds me of Helck
I want to see cooking resurrection magic. Like, prepare all the ingredients, put the dish into the oven, and bake at 180°C. Check regularly on the progress.
After 90 minutes a fresh Farlyn is done and ready to (re)join the party.
>Kabron takes down Dark Elf's dragon
>Dark Elf comes back and wrecks everybody
>The group has no choice but teleporting out
>ChimeFarlyn 2.0 soon
At least the other two party leaders would now know the existence of Mad Sorcerer.
Well, at least they stopped literally ripping characters out of H-games and draw their own stuff. That's nice.
It's not like bad flash games are as big thing as they used to be in earlier 2000's. I'm not exactly up-to-date on browser games but I assumed the specific games were kind of a passing fad which would make them more niche. I might be full of shit though.
>I don't know how breaks work: the post
>I don't know Hirano Kouta: the post
>I don't know the name of the guy who "makes" HunterXHunter: the post
>why use that picture: the post
>maybe : the post guy will give me a (You): the post
This is what they should have done from the very first chapter.
Suffer not the heretic!
But you still need the bodies intact and either have a skilled cleric around or carry the bodies out of the dungeon so somebody can rez them.
It doesn't help that they are in a deeper part of the dungeon too.
But you don't need to know flash games to recognize what the image is trying to imply. All you need is a basic understanding of how games work.
"Ah, it's supposed to a porn game" is qualitatively on the same level as "ah, it's supposed to be THAT porn game".
This is different from when you take the image of a little girl and shoop a highly detailed wooden floor into the background. People who are not in the know would not associate that with porn.
>fighting off monsters
I bet it's an edit, no way it's a real page from the manga.
Alright, theory times. Kabron made a killing blow but lauis will use his healing magic to heal his cute sister wound where she will get called back by DM with Lauis on top. Rest of the team will either have to go back or send a few to find Lauis. More friendly faces will appear for the rescue arc.
>So many dead guys to revive
>Dark arts galore
Were heading for surface for sure. Holy shit we might get to see the Elvish inquisition. Either that or Fairlyn is going under Dwarfs blade and used as meat for the spell. Jesus fucking christ she aint going to make it
Maybe they will carve out from the flesh. Maybe Mad Sorc will make a grand Entrance. Maybe they will take a second shot at dark arts?
The black guy didnt do anything wrong though. Imouto deserves her eternal rest...
Um sweetie, we have that now honey.
Ahe tied her fucking body to the dungeon with the method she used. Even if they exclusively had nosoul-certified goats on hand, Marcille using the dark arts is what fucked this entire situation to hell.
I was hoping for something similar to Priscilla desu.
I bet you can't even use forbidden magic.
The more intact they are the tighter the grip of the soul on the body.
Farlyn was resurrected then and there because her soul was shackled only loosely to her digested skeleton.
They don't have to be completely intact but being in one piece is certainly preferable and the more damaged the body, the more skilled the person doing the resurrection has to be (As was the case with the charred body that Namari saw in the morgue, so that's some insight into how difficult it is to bring someone back from a skeleton state at least with conventional magic).
Ancient magic was only used because Farlyn was a skeleton and thus required an enormous store of energy and calories to build a new body from scratch.
Everyone currently dead has really only been crushed as opposed to being digested and subsequently burned for calories or to fuel a flame.
It ultimately depends on whether any of them can resurrect other than Marcille who can apparently only use ancient magic to resurrect (or she would have resurrected the BUGGED party).
>Use forbidden magic
>Fuck everything up
Its forbidden for a reason you dumbdumb. She needs to be tried
>based Kabru killing monster fucking shit
Who here /Oath of Vengeance/?
>Ahe tied her fucking body to the dungeon with the method she used.
No, the MEAT she used. The meat is part of the dungeon, which allowed the sorceror to call upon it. He literally says so.
Get your superstitious fearmongering out of your system.
I would also fuck Marcille but Farilyn is in my strike zone.
The problem isn't the dragon meat. The problem is that Marcille used the forbidden magic to tie her body into the dungeon's magic because her body didn't have enough energy left in what little remained for the ressurection spell to work. Connecting her to the dungeon is why she could suddenly cast super quick and strong spells and is why the scorcerer can control her and warp her body since he controls the dungeon.
Here, I give you the chain of causation, since you are apparently below 10 INT.
>uses forbidden magic
>imouto resurrected, everyone happy
>big bad evil guy appears
>proceeds to fuck everything up
I bet you are on of these guys that blames Feanor and not Melkor.
Chilchack was fighting in the first chapter though he never had a bow and arrow ever again.
No, she channeled energy from the energy dimension. The reason Farylin is bound is the meat they used. The sorcerer talks to her like he's talking to the dragon when he sees her, because she is made of dragon meat. Not a single connection has been made between the ritual and Farylin's bondage.
Il fix that for you, you dirty elf
>Imouto resurrected, everyone happy
>Actually shes tied to the dungeon and its owner by using forbidden magic and dragons meat
>Big bad guy aka rightful landlord comes along and claims whats hers
If she had 10 int Marcille would have had known better not to tier her to the dungeon.
Even the cooked meat responded to the sorcerer's call. The cooked meat that was NOT subject to the ritual.
I really enjoy the subtle hints of pragmatic combat in this manga. Magic has a certain level of depth in terms of their effects and drawbacks (mana recovery in nourishment, differing magic systems, healing as a form of chi distribution to increase biological recovery) which isn't mostly covered by the usual 'it's magic and lights so I don't have to explain shit.' Physical combat is determined by rational thinking like in that instance where Karbu removes armor to increase his mobility in a situation where it's protection is proven useless or when they were attacking vitals of monsters like the kraken, dragon and cockatrice. Other manga out there would dress these details up with large craters, splashing light effects or big panels for speed lines, without detail conservation to ground the readers with logical physics; realistic expectations.
It's the little details that makes this manga overall great. It contrasts the art's simplistic style but it carries a deeper context with hidden intentions.
>If she had 10 int Marcille would have had known better not to tier her to the dungeon
Calm down, you seem upset. She knows to many spells to not be above 10 INT. Also she loves Farlyn too much to not risk it. The alternative is a dead Farlyn. Also Laius ask her to do it. You are just cruel and also taking the side of a dark elf, which makes you Paladin fall. Good job.
Marcille directly says she rewrote the dungeon so that Farlyn's body was part of the dungeon in chapter 37. She meant it was supposed to be temporary but if you go back a couple chapters you see she forgot to undo it and it also explains her sudden magic boost after being resurrected.
>Alternative is a dead Fairlyn
This is why wizards need to be purged. You imply that outcome is somehow worse than being a humanoid monster and slave to a Sorcerer. Dead is sometimes the better option, they really dont teach ethics to wizards in meshiverse. I bet they didnt even think about what Fairlyn might felt.
>You are just cruel and also taking the side of a dark elf
Im a morally upstanding person who has the guts to realize that dark elf has a legitimate claim to the city. Shes practicing home defense against people who would be happy to see her head on a spike and spell books in their libraries
The issue is that Farlyn is part of the dungeon now, not by meat, but by ritual. The meat in the party's stomach didn't get regurgitated, somit's obvious that only things actively suffused with dungeon energy are under his control
Guess what Farlyn's VERY SOUL is now.
You think offering dungeon cuisine to Farlyn or the mad sorcerer in exchange for a temporary truce would work?
The meat of the dragon, that is making up Farylin's body, yes. That meat.
That's the point. Farylin is under the sorcerer's control because she's dragon meat. The ritual itself doesn't seem to be too relevant.
>The issue is that Farlyn is part of the dungeon now, not by meat, but by ritual. The meat in the party's stomach didn't get regurgitated
Because it was digested. The meat they cooked did get summoned. The meat which was not part of the ritual.
>You imply that outcome is somehow worse than being a humanoid monster and slave to a Sorcerer
And you are using a logical fallacy here, that the outcome was intended.
>Im a morally upstanding person who has the guts to realize that dark elf has a legitimate claim to the city
You don't know if the dark elf is the legitimate ruler of the city. You don't know how the sorcerer got hold of the city, but you know that the dungeon had a now dead king. As well you should be against any person that wants to kill the sorcerer, like Laius, because killing a legitimate ruler can't be right.
Below average intelligence.jpg
let me help you
>decorate the area with "WE ARE HERE! MESS US UP PLS" signs, trip every possible alarms, then ring the biggest bells you can find to alert the master of the dungeon that you are there and fucking around with its creations; all with a single simple (forbidden) spell
>"oh no, the master of the dungeon appeared and messed us up, how could it happen?"
So what you are saying is, there's no real distinction, unless a mundane process like digestion somehow counteracts dungeon magic in a way a resurrection that repurposes meat doesn't.
>And you are using a logical fallacy here, that the outcome was intended.
Intended or not it did happen unintentionally. It should have been taken into account even if it wasnt the intended outcome. There is no reason to blindly assume the best
>You don't know if the dark elf is the legitimate ruler of the city
Legitimate ruler is dead with no heirs. This means the line of success is gone for good. Dark Sorcerer has been living in the city for thousand years. She has also overseen the local population of spirits, animals and other monsters plus taken a part in construction projects that the infrastructure needs to survive long periods of time
She is the de facto ruler and could be even considered de jure depending on how distribution of powers works after kings demise
Wizards are the reason why those stupid Heroic Spirit bowls take place, calm down.
And here's your friendly reminder:
>ride on your horse because adventure
>encounter a bad knight
>knock him out of his saddle, take his horse and armor
>encounter several bad knights
>knock them out of their saddles, take their horses and armor
>encounter lowly bandits
>knock them out of their saddles, take their horses and armor
>encounter a bad baron
>knock him out of his saddle, take his horse and armor
>encounter a man-eating ogre (maybe with 3 kind daughters)
>knock him out of his saddle, take his horse and armor
>encounter a skeleton knight
>knock him out of his saddle, he gets up, knock him out of his saddle, he gets up, knock him out of his saddle, he gets up, knock him out of his saddle, he gets up, OH SHIT WHAT DO I DO
Those Arthurian legends were shit.
>There is no reason to blindly assume the best
As if she ever did that. She probably was well aware of the risks. It's not like she immediately sprinkled magic dust over her corpse. Marcille told the others what she was going to do and she asked Laius, as Farlyns brother, if he's okay with it. You are assuming way too much.
>Legitimate ruler is dead with no heirs
>de facto ruler
>paladin defending might makes right
And now you are fallen. Good job.
Lets work this out logically.
The reason the sorcerer can control her like he controls everytging else in the dungeon is because she is now part of the dungeon. Whether making her out of dragon meat would have been sufficient to do that is irrelevant, as the very first thing Marcille did with her spell was make Farlyn part of the dungeon BEFORE any dragon meat was involved.
What the meat did do however is cause the scorcerer to view Farlyn as the dragon and treat her as such.
>She took the risk of making Fairlyn abomination and giving her soul to the mad sorcerer.
Does this seem favorable over death? She shouldnt have had taken the risk in the fist place.
>She asked Laius
Yes, because asking distraught brother over ethical stuff means it was okay to use dark magic. The elf fucked up
>And now you are fallen. Good job.
I guess its better to leave a necropolis unattended and have people pillaging the dead?
>But /a/ loves elves
You can barely put an elf in the OP without someone immediately making posts about killing or rape. On the other hand you can have elf threads on /tg/ that are completely civil, without the rape meme. Most here know elves only from mind-break ntr porn anyway.
Not exactly. She basically just said she's been srudying ancient forbidden magics and knows one that could work. It was only after everything went tits up that she actually explained what the spell did and went into specifics about making her part of the dungeon to take advantage of its power source.
Better dead than whateverfuck she is now
That's not logic.
>because she is now part of the dungeon.
>the very first thing Marcille did with her spell was make Farlyn part of the dungeon
Temporarily, according to her. It's possible that she didn't undo it, but not logical to assume.
>cause the scorcerer to view Farlyn as the dragon and treat her as such.
She also looks like part-dragon now, so this is not just not logical, but probably wrong.
There's 2 problems with this.
One: We don't know that the ritual would put farylin under his control. It's POSSIBLE, but there's no certainty. What's certain is the dragon meat IS under the sorceror's control, so if we can be sure that anything is to blame, it's the meat.
Secondly, even if you're right, the fact that she's the Dragon in the sorceror's eyes is what made him recall her in the first place, he needed his dragon to be patrolling the area.
So whether or not the ritual is partly to blame (which you can't prove), the meat was definitely to blame, and it's entirely possible and likely that the same ritual with goat meat would have not resulted in tragedy.
The killin elves posters are all from /tg/ or /v/. The raping elves posters are lying newfags because it's not rape if it's an elf.
Damn dude, your headcanon is on another level.
>Does this seem favorable over death?
The same logical fallacy again.
>She shouldnt have had taken the risk in the fist place.
She should have taken some levels in divinination you mean, because you are arguing from the comfortable position of already knowing the outcome, unlike Marcille and Laius in the moment they saw her corpse. You are unable to be sympathetic with their emotions, highly autistic.
>I guess its better to leave a necropolis unattended and have people pillaging the dead?
Yeah, because that are the sorcerers motives, right? You don't know how to argue.
>The killin elves posters are all from /tg/
Again, I am in the elf threads on /tg/. They have far less rape memes than /a/. On /a/ you can make a thread and put Lafiel in the OP and the first post will either be about raping or killing. This board surpassed /tg/ in anti-elf autism.
>The same logical fallacy again.
Its not really an fallacy. Just because the result wasnt intended doesnt mean it shouldnt have been factored in before committing to the spell. Again, the elf should have had known better
>She should have taken some levels in divinination you mean, because you are arguing from the comfortable position of already knowing the outcome, unlike Marcille and Laius in the moment they saw her corpse. You are unable to be sympathetic with their emotions, highly autistic.
Maybe one shouldnt dabble in the dark arts. Its illegal for a reason, like unsanctioned human experimentation.
Who the hell thought that it would go well when you have grave penalties for using it? Jesus christ
>Yeah, because that are the sorcerers motives, right? You don't know how to argue.
I never said those were her motives
Of cours everything bad is always crossboarders! We never had elf threads here on /a/ before that were filled with murder and rape! Have you been in Isekai Shokudou threads? I didn't like that vegan elf much, but the shitposting started already before the episode aired.
>Its not really an fallacy
Retrospective Determinism for instance.
>Its illegal for a reason
We actually still don't know why it's illegal, and the best bet right now is the fact that it draws so much raw magic from an infinite source, not because you can create hybrids with it.
>I never said those were her motives
Then it's unlogical to bring them up.
I thought there'd be one or two chapters of MISUNDERSTANDINGS and Kabru fucking shit up before they ran into Farlyn again, but here we are and people are dropping like flies.
I miss the whacky adventures and frogsuits. All this despair is not part of a balanced diet.
