I didn't see the thread was here.

It's hard to not see a John Henry vs the Steam Drill reference in this short, or the fight between the man (woman) [horse] and the machine. It's no coincidence that she's black like John was afro-american, and it jokes about the seemingly difference in power through "dark horse".

There is also a sociopolitical discourse, with the black horse being the one who runs, while the white horse do pretty jumps and eat, respectively.
This not only talks about the slaves being the work horses for the white owners, but is also about sports are the only way for blacks to have money and respect. Notice how she reaches the light of the field after walking through the dark of ignorance and slavery.

The ending, with the athlete hallucinating about people cheering, is t here to reference how athletes enter "the zone" and live in their own world when they race/play.

I went to one in Norfolk then it started raining and all the animals were asleep (but they're all really cute). They even have some red pandas and tapirs at the zoo, but they were asleep too. Though, red pandas look like adorable dolls that someone threw into a tree when they sleep and fennecs don't move at all when they're sleeping (I think it might've just been dead).

The aquarium is way more exciting. They have fucking komodo dragons and horseshoe crabs and mantas you can touch at the aquarium. Why the fuck does a zoo have komodo dragons?
