Why is baseball the greatest sport for anime & manga?
Is there nothing on the stream yet? I have all ad-blockers off, and nothing is showing up.
I'm so glad to be seeing this again. I was there for the thread(s) last year, and I didn't think that I would ever remember the date for this, or that someone would remind me here. So, thank you for bringing it and me back.
You can easily make it fit into a shonen-like format, given how little happens in the actual sport
Koshien is such great fun to watch every year. It's the summertime of youth, filled with beautiful human drama. On one side you have the ecstasy of triumph and the incredible joy of making history together with your trusted nakama. On the other, you have crushed dreams and the bitterness of regret, knowing that you tried so hard and got so far but in the end it didn't even matter. I especially love it when the losers tearfully scrape up commemorative dirt with an array of photographers snapping shots not a meter away, with audible sobbing in the background.
this is your adachi love interest
>Asians and North Americans suck at Association Football
>'Mericans love shit sports
If the target market was Europe, Africa, South America, North America (excluding Canada and USA) or Australia, they would be playing Association Football (Soccer)
Holy shit. That situation must have taken at least ten years off of the life of the pitcher. And maybe that outfielder, too. The entire game was potentially on the line there. And, with those extra fouls - Lord.
yeah, he's the goddam MC
I guess you misspelled basketball, no worries, i gotchu senpai
ive seen some huge comebacks.
6 lead is nothing.
Yes, big comebacks are more common than people would think even in the pro leagues.
However that game made me really upset, it was obvious from previous games that the ace wasn't in his best condition, the coach made him play from the seventh onwards and he just watched how the kid lost 7 runs and he did nothing.
Also I remember some years ago the ace of the same team literally melting down in the mound after going full 11 innings.
This kind of shitheads shouldn't coach in big teams, let alone coach at all.
sometimes they want to stay in to finish the job, a nice coach will let them see things through for better or worse. its something you will only ever get a chance to do in highschool after all.
Because the team aspect is strong at the same time that the sport is good at showcasing individual talent. The former comraderie is a huge part of sports manga appeal while the latter is excellent for highlighting inter-team rivalries and growth arcs.
Oh snap it's that time of year again. I know what I'm doing at work tomorrow.
Schools to watch out for:
Sakushin Gakuin - last year's winn- oh nevermind, I see they got knocked out today. Unfortunate.
Hokkai - last year's runners up and Koshien regulars
Osaka Toin - 2014 winners, 2012 winners (both spring and summer) and Koshien regulars
Sendai Ikuei - 2015 runners up
Maebashi Ikuei - 2013 winners
Konan - 2010 winners (both spring and summer)
Seiko Gakuin - I don't remember their results but I do remember rooting for them so they must be good.
Trout doesn't have the heart or honor.
the manga bio would either be of Willie Mays, Griffey, or Ichiro
