How closely is this an adaptation of the manga (and subsequently, of the first series)? Is it like a "same key events and scenes happen, sometimes nearly shot-for-shot" or is it just taking the premise and being liberal with it? Any HK anons here? I watched the old anime in a DVD set with canto dub and I think the voices are pretty good in that one. I'm really hoping for the new anime to get dubbed too with the same voice cast.

How close is it to the old show?
Same story with different jokes or most of the stuff is the same?

It's the same story as the first season, but speed way the fuck up and thus a lot of jokes are taken out. I remembered the Kukuri training session taking up about 6+ episodes in the original.

the original had a lot of filler and original content, this one is closer to the manga. The pacing is quite fast, particularly at the beginning, although the latest episode was not as much.

It's a great watch for anyone that was fan of the original, that's for sure.
