Just watched it on the cinema this Friday.
It was gorgeous is my favorite movie of all time (not saying its best) id almost made me cry, the soundtrack was amazing too i cant recommend it enough

It's a good movie, and I dare to say it goes beyond most of Shinkai's usual problems.

Granted, there is only one way to be a "real" scriptwriter there, and it's not using generic characters. And that was the reason it won big time at the box office - which is a bad, bad, bad thing.

I mean, friggin' Takahata did it and Grave of the Fireflies is a terrible movie (but not for aesthitical reasons). The fact that normies prefer something so... constructed for romance is sad as fuck.
